Sixth scale rule no. 3,793: The bitching about the headsculpt will be proportional to the anticipation to the figure's release. 😄 I dunno, it gives me "I-have-had-it-with-these-motherf*cking-snakes-on-this-motherf*cking-plane" vibes. Can't wait to add him to the collection. Will be posing him with his BFF Jango Fett. This party AINT over. Great vid. Thanks.

I'm far from a Mace expert, or even a face likeness expert, but even I immediately noticed something different when the blogger photos dropped. I thought to myself, 'wait a minute, this seems pretty different than the face likeness I've seen on Sideshow's PO page'. So to me, that's the thing. We all saw the other sculpt for so long we grew accustomed to me, and this change is a bit jarring. I think if HT had shown us this one first, there'd be less of an uproar.

I'm unsure what happened here. There's a chance that the artist simply missed the mark on likeness. On the other hand, this is a CW Mace Windu. If we look at the first CW Anakin and to a lesser extent the new CW Obi Wan, I wonder if the artists of these 3 figures went for a blend between the full animated version and their live action version because none of those 3 look exactly like the film actors. The new CW Anakin does look exactly like Hayden, however, that is pulled directly from the flashback in Ahsoka so it shouldn't be compared. Just a random thought I had.

For me the figure is good but not great. I still like it and had my preorder paid off a few months ago. I’m happy with it and I also preordered Clone Wars Palpatine to battle with. I also bought Jango Fett who is losing his head over my Windu purchase. I say it’s still worth the pick up.

I had him paid off, but decided to cancel my preorder. The head sculpt just doesn't do it for me. Ended up preodering John Wick 4 and Caine instead.

I always try to have it on hand before I make the final call. Based on the blogger photos, the head sculpt is not the best. I can see some resemblance of Samuel L. Jackson, but it's not great. It's like they tried to combine the animated show and Jackson together in the sculpt. I give it a 6.5 or 7/10. I think calling it the worst is an overreaction. I don't think it's the worst sculpt ever. That title to me goes to Endgame Cap(helmeted), Batman Begins cowl and others. I'm still picking this up, because it's still Mace and I would like the character representation for my collection. Some collectors are hoping for a new version, which I do think is possible, but not for a long while, even with next year's ROTS anniversary (could be wrong as Hot Toys operates unpredictably at times). If and when a new Mace would release, I would expect it to be within the same timeframe of Darth Maul - from the original DX to now.

All great thoughts!! I definitely agree having things in hand is the best way to make a final judgment. It used to be easier to justify though. Now there's a risk of not getting your money back if you're not happy with the figure vs the past. But either way thanks for watching and supporting the channel!!

I don’t think it’s one of their best at all. Shame it’s such an I iconic character. Rolling eyes would have helped it out a lot just like Padmé. Pass for now. I don’t need every Jedi as much as I like Mace.
