considering one of these to replace a vented integrated tumble dryer (which they dont produce anymore). Already have hole in the wall but trying to find out if the vent hose will align. What is height from floor to centre of the vent hole/exhaust on the machine? also distance from edge of machine to centre of hole/exhaust vent?

At 10:10 showing rear of machine there is a diagonal steel bar going from side to side and running along the base of the white semi-circle, mine (not from Lords, I'm afraid) has this but there is nothing to indicate in the manual. whether this is for transit only or a permanent fixture. Nobody at Hotpoint would or could answer the question. The illustrations that I have seen appear to show the dryer without the bar. Does anyone know, for sure, whether this should be removed on installation?

Why do I see the same size drum-like 5 kg old INDESIT model had before? I measured the depth or height of the drum by using a tape measure to measure the distance from the top of the drum to the bottom. Then calculated the volume of the drum by using the formula: π(diameter/2)^2) x height. Not much visible difference... Can you define how you set capacity 5Kg or 8Kg?

Isnt Hotpoint American, But the Identic Company which is Indesit Was Italian?

Hotpoint and Indesit were part of the Merloni group, but were taken over by Whirlpool several years ago which are American

Bosch have stopped making vented tumble dryers as condenser dryers are more convenient and popular.

Thats correct, as we find that condenser dryers are a lot more popular
