On my Hotpoint WMAQF 621 - the clothes feel bit slimy as if not rinsed properly after a wash. Would it be better to * Rinse cycle again or * Spin+ Pump out in the end ?

Yes sounds like the machine hasn't rinsed properly or you have put too much detergent in. If you try reducing the amount of detergent it may help

Not daft at all, but main wash goes in the right section and fabric softener goes in the blue section if you use it.

Hi, does this washing machine have a filter which needs cleaning ? As our machine seems to beep making me believe it needs a filter removal & clean. Thanks

Not so much a filter, but if you remove the front kick strip at the bottom of the machine then you may have access to the pump where it could require cleaning.

It’s a shame this model along with many others including the WMEUF which you’ve also covered on this channel were fire hazards! Hey ho, at least Hotpoint came up with a fresh new design after these models were released which fixed the fire hazard!

HOW CAN WE TURN THE DELAY TIMER OFF??

The delay timer will be set by pressing the time delay button, the only way to cancel it before you start the program is to keep pressing the button until it reverts back to the time of the program.

The door does not open. There was no click like usual when the cycle was finished. Trieed going through the cycle again still won't open. Tried unplugging for 1 min. Still no joy.

it sounds like there may be a problem with the door catch. Or check to make sure the child lock is not active, if it is then the door will nor open. There may be a padlock symbol on the display.

My machine won’t start. Tried to stop it to put in clothes by pressing the start button and now won’t work

If you have pressed the start button, you may have paused the programme. If you press the start button again, it may start the programme again. if not try and turn the whole machine off at the plug and leave for 5 minutes and try again. It may reset it and enable you to start the programme again

Check the program you are putting on. it may be that you are selecting a program where it will only go up to 1200 rpm. If you select the cotton program then you should have the full range of spin speeds
