Which of these is your favourite? What is the quirkiest bit of tech you've seen in the pits at a triathlon?

My favorite is the black Diamondback Andean since it is MY bike. Oceanside transition area is the best: huge with lots of variety.

I did my first two triathlons last year on my dad’s old Colnago that he bought in I think ‘91. It’s older than I am and a beautiful old bike. I bought myself a new bike in December so won’t be racing on it anymore, but it definitely got a few comments.

That diamondback would be like riding a bull in a crosswind. Looks good though.

As it’s my bike, I can confirm this. The trade off is to not have too deep of wheels.

Can you make a video about tech used on race day during the race to track yourself? Tri watch for swim/run? Bike computer?

Maybe 2yrs ago at the Australian Ironman 70.3 there was a full suspension MTB with big knobby tyres on the rack, so I took note of his entrant number to see how his day progressed, to my surprise he averaged over 33kph 😳😳

The Andean, it looked so cool, it wasn’t super bike $, claimed to be the fastest bike. And then it wasn’t true, and they stopped making it. I feel bad for the people they scammed, I almost became one.
