The theory is that more heat enters the atmosphere than is releasd. So we are in a cycle of surplus heat so the earth continues to increase in temperature. Likely he’s lost a lot of sponsors from his actions, with his acrimonious divorce and wife’s video and the interviews of Dave Landau, as well as the DW drama. the whole unnecessary drama in him leaving the Blaze (and starting MugClubforever), then the pointless exercise of making a stand again BigCon and DW (who I loath BTW). Was all strategically a stupid move for him. I can’t help think that it’s co-ordinated as all happened together…. But maybe also, he just imploded.

If the current warming period is man-made then who caused the last three major warming periods? The Minoan, Roman and Medieval Warming periods went on for years and were much hotter than it is now. There was no cataclysm. Human beings flourished, empires expanded and great cathedrals were built across Europe. It’s when it got cold that crops failed, disease spread and millions died.

Did some research, all three of those warming periods mentioned were regional and not global, so the comparison to global warming today is not analogous. Just in this past month Earth has broken its record several times over for the hottest recorded day in all of human history. The problem isn't just the trend, but it's the rate at which the earth is warming. So much research has shown a strong correlation between carbon emissions due to industrialization across the globe to this exponential warming. So many people try to cope and downplay the harm this will cause by bringing up false comparisons to regional warming periods. Yes the earth naturally warms/cools, but the rate we are seeing now is NOT natural and is human induced. How do you account for the exponential increase? Are those research findings somehow either a hoax, because that would be quite a bold claim considering the vast majority of climate scientists disagree with you.

Your answer is in your question. Millions of years. MILLIONS. Not a few centuries. The rise in temperature that is documented from pre-industrial times to now is a rise in temperature, that you mentioned, that would naturally take millions of years. Because of humans' involvement in the climate change we're experiencing, the very short time in which it's occurring, it has devastating effects on the environment and a lot of species and habitats won't be able to adapt quickly enough to adjust to the extreme changes in their respective environments. Sure, it won't be the end of the world, but it will be the end of the world for a lot of people and other animals. Third world countries and families living in poverty will feel the effects the most, which is unfortunate because they contribute the least to climate change.

And they happened without humanity. Second, the are temperature on record higher than most recent temps that happened before 1930. I think our industrial revolution started after that. What accounts for the rapid acceleration of Earth's warming? Why are we so quick to dismiss the dangers of rapid deforestation and carbon emissions? These things don't just have a null impact, and in fact the rise of these practices track with the exponential acceleration of Earth's warming. Yes, climate changes and nobody who believes in human induced climate change believes that. The problem is the rate that we are now seeing, and to think humans play no role in that acceleration is incredibly delusional.

We aren't in control, that's the problem. We are changing the climate far more rapidly than many of the geological changes that occurred in Earth's past over thousands and millions of years. Will the conditions of Earth's climate that we changed lead to an environment that is mostly unsustainable for human life? That remains to be seen, but it's pretty clear that civilization will experience a massive scaling down, one that mother nature isn't going to be giving us a choice over.

Even worse, agricultural zones are already seeing a decline as many, even in the United States are experiencing disastrous droughts and water shortages. You think things getting hot is the only problem? Oh, it gets much worse, when you think about things like the shutdown of the thermohaline circulation system of the ocean.
