there is little to non time difference between 64 and 128 threads. too much time spent on core-to-core cross talks

Awesome work. What did you render this in? Also how did you create the snow on the trees? and terrain? Does the HIP file come with the snowy terrain?

I almost only use Mantra for my own work. I can’t remember that clearly how.. probably a dot product and then scatter a bunch of points to generate the snow geo(plus a noise). Terrain is done manually. The file has the final river bed included

Very nice. It's just that the snow packed on trees packed by freezing temps doesn't match the floating river. But then again accurate weather wasn't the main point in this. (trees would be "naked" in +1´C - -10´C) But very nice indeed!!

Web Lotus could be! I only chose the single scatter one as it is too expensive to render. Didn’t pay too much attention on the environment.😁

@@HangYuriYangFX u know, all your work very amazing and very realistic! But I think u can make snow better if u get the inner shadow more blue. Not gray. I think that is the key. Or by SSS make scatter color blue. ;-) If u want.
