That said, ya boi is not actually as smart as they're trying to pretend to be. Flavor text with very little substance. Essentially, Mr. Cotton-Candy there is way oversimplifying and making a bunch of assumptions. Explosions and the physics behind 'em aren't 'one and done' sorts of things. The way the blast looks is just one factor and completely ignores the materials around the blast site. If there was absolutely nothing between homeboy and the blast, he'd absolutely be dead. Having experienced an explosion where you are momentarily engulfed in a fireball, after you think you are alright, it feels kind of like a sun burn. Then, like 10-15 min later the pain sets in. You go into shock, some people (at-least I did) started convulsing uncontrollably. The pain then starts ramping up until it is the worst pain you could ever contemplate. The pain is at the point where morphine only takes the edge off. You are still screaming in the ambulance after it is administered. Again, you get to the hospital, and the affected area is just red, like a bad sunburn. some areas may be black (third degree) those areas have no pain. The next morning, you wake up and it looks like someone taped water balloons all over you. Every time you open your mouth, it splits open. You put too much pressure on a part of your affected body, it pops open and you feel liquid tripping down you. You eventually have to go to a doctor who will pull all of the burnt skin off of you as it dies. Overall I do not wish that experience on any human being or animal. That was the most painful thing I have ever experienced in my life. It's like when you burn your finger on a hot pan, and that level of intense pain is on basically the entire front of your body.... People walked way with "minor injuries" is a questionable statement from my point of view, but of course it could have been a deadly incident no doubt.

I had 2 degree burns, boiling hot water about 2.5 to 3 liters all over me, my head, my neck, my back, my chest and shoulders and legs. Luckily nothing on my face. It was 6 in the morning in the winter, it was freezing cold outside, when I ran outside, I screamed my lungs out.. People came outside and rushed me to the er, to my luck the where no doctors around to pach me up. 4 interns that handled very poorly my burns, they gave me painkillers, put cream on the burned skin bandaged me poorly and said thatts nothing to serious take painkillers and you will be fine... I was relieved to hear that but, the next morning, oh boy..... They where sooo wrong. The pain kicked in and painkillers did nothing to ease the pain. Luckily it was winter and cold, I opened my window and sat shirtless in the freezin cold and it helped a bit plus some burn cream to ease to pain but, the pain was always there. Plus I couldn't sleep at all due to my burns on my shoulders, the next day the bubbles began to pop up everywhere. My mom helped a lot with it. After Ifew days later I went to to hospitals burn unit. And the the doctor looked a few seconds and said this : what ever you doing, keep going. I said : I that all? Nothing to recommend and anything?? He said : No. I was frustrated and went home and I took 4 months to recover, no marks, nothing everything was healed there was no sign of burning on my skin. Interestingly my mother found some St. John's Wort oil and wanted to try it, and it worked well, too well. I was amazed because it healed way more faster than the creams that was sold at the pharmacy. I am normally against essential oils etc.. But somehow the St. John's Wort oil worked very well for me and we began only using that. I was very lucky. That was a fraking trauma

If he had a valid driver's license, he'd likely walk away with a ticket. Now lawsuits for the lost value of the house, injuries sustained and the medical bills the guy in the house suffered, others in the neighborhood suffering "emotional trauma"....all that can be brought against the driver. But there's nothing more criminal about it.

It ain't no joke. It's miraculous, that this man walked away. I don't see any serious issues, from the footage I saw though. He was dirty and his clothes were more torn than burned. He also had a lot of soot on him. My explanation from my experience, tells me he was far enough away or in just a right spot before the explosion took place. He felt the heat and the shockwave rocked his life. But he was starting to feel the damage, as he came to that tree. That's force trauma, more than burns. I suspect he could've received 1st and 2nd degree burns, but I would be surprised if he experienced any 3rd degree burns. The official report says no severe injuries. I'm inclined to believe he is a lucky man who may go on to joke or recount, about living through a michael bay scene. No duh. The house *exploded* if you couldn't already tell that and there was also a *raging fire* too. They're cops, not firefighters dude. And yeah, but they came back soon after. They dragged the drunk driver to safety and the female cop got the stumbling man to sit down. Did you even watch the entire video?

This is super depressing. Imagine you're just relaxing at home one day, then all of a sudden - your house explodes. In the blink of an eye, the place you call home, your possessions, basically your entire life is gone. Not to mention you are now burnt like a cartoon character. I really hope this home owner recovered well and went through insurance and had everything replaced.
