Referring to cart parking, the black car beside the cart is a 2 door which has long doors. I can see where it could be very difficult to get back into the car with the cart so close, especially with knee issues like I’ve been dealing with this week. I have to drag my left foot into the car while my knee is healing.

A lot of people write into the show talking about the weather. Today June 20, 2022 it is a 101 in Minneapolis and there is a lot of humidity. I do not live there I live in South Carolina but today where I live it is about 9 degrees cooler and less humid than it is in Minneapolis. So my friends it gets hot everywhere in the summer. Now later this week it will be 103 or 104 here. Thanks for the video.

Great show y'all! For Linda: I get bad leg cramps too and there is a miracle product that really works called "Theraworx" you can buy it at Walmart in the pharmacy section, it comes in a spray or foam (get the foam) and all you do is use about one pump of product and rub it into the muscle cramp, it works on contact wherever you get cramps - hands, feet, legs, etc. I keep a bottle of Theraworx on my bedside table - no more yucky pickle juice or mustard packets for this girl!

What a great show today. I don’t know how you guys do it, but you just get better and better and better. Regarding the totally destroyed house. I hope that you will post haste take out your homeowners policy, contact your agent review your coverages as to whether you have the right coverages and the right limits for those coverages. Not only do you have to consider the cost of rebuilding in this inflationary period, you must also consider additional living expense that it would cost you should you have to move out of your home into a rental, or a hotel, or a greedy kid. Would also be a good opportunity to ask your insurance agent if the company provides discounts for lightning rods.
@debesevening33352 жыл бұрын
Thomas, we live here in TV and there is no discount for lightning rods, because the lightening can hit anywhere near/into your house and depending on if it hits a gas line or feed source, the amount of damage could vary greatly. Good news is while we ARE the lightening capitol of the US, the instance of lightning strikes directly to the homes here are as rare as any neighborhood this condensed. If it decides to hit 2 ft from your lightening rod, it doesn't matter if you had one or not.
@Chegles12 жыл бұрын
It's not a coincidence you mention taking a look at your homeowners policy regarding coverage. We live in an apartment and just today we looked at our personal property coverage on our rental insurance. While it was adequate when we took out the policy 5 years ago, today maybe not too much. We will definitely take another look and update as necessary.

Hi Paul here, In regards to the question about the need for a Toll Road transponder: I'd highly recommend it before visiting. For example between the Villages and Orlando Airport all of the pay-as-you-go toll booths are closed now; you only can use a transponder, or have your license plate scanned. If you are in a rental car, there is a fee of at lease $13 - 20 per day extra for having the license plate scanned along with the higher toll prices. For our last trip I ordered online the Sun Pass transponder. It arrived in under 2 weeks. I was able to set it up before our trip. You have to put a 'pre-paid' amount on your account. Once we arrived at Orlando and picked up the rental, we added the rental car license plate number to our account for the duration of our visit. It made it easy to go back and forth to the Airport and Disney World paying the "local" rate toll. The transponder is cheep... it only cost the amount the rental car companies would charge for just one day of transponder use. You can keep it and use it on other trips. Just don't forget to remove it from the rental car when you go back!!!😉 Thanks again, Jerry and Linda!
@halhelms38582 жыл бұрын
Just read E pass portable transponders are $9.95 while Sun Pass portable transponders are $19.99. They are in high competition w/each other supposedly, and Sun Pass is losing thanks to their horrible coders, so headed to the E pass site and Thanks so much for a genius idea to “Beat the man”!

This heat quickly Zapped my electrolytes but I couldn't believe the my crazy reaction! Hip lower back pain causing me to limp that's never happened before! I did drink some bread-and-butter pickle juice, the chiropractor said that takes care of uric acid- which makes joints hurt. But finally watermelon lemon water and low-sodium V8 did the trick! I add lots of pink Himalayan salt with 84 minerals. The low sodium has double the potassium than the regular hope that helps that's a staple in my pantry

I never heard about the mustard packets for leg cramps, but I have heard and use an old wives' tale about soap. You put a bar of soap near your cramped leg, in your bed! It relaxes your muscles and alleviates the cramp! It really works! There must be some chemical in the soap that reacts with the cramps in your legs.

Hertz rent a car has an office in Spanish Springs, I visited it on my Life Style visit.
@DeborahLynnM2 жыл бұрын
Hi guys! 😆 Yes, I have no problem calling everyone guys. LOL! I just want to add our experience during our Lifestyle visit last week. We did rent a car at the airport (reserved ahead of time), and yes it was pricey because we got a RAV4 from Enterprise, and we were in FL for 10 days. We used the car a lot because first of all it was HOT and coming from dry SoCal we needed the air conditioning. We did use our golf car, but mostly after sundown, and not very far from our villa. We did go down south to Edna’s and the Everglades Rec Center in it our first day, but it wasn’t quite as hot yet. We also had problems with the GPS apps. Neither worked for us with TMobile, so we only had GPS for a car, not golf car. That was a huge issue when trying to find our way around. Lastly, we got a toll road pass at a kiosk at the airport right by the car rental counters. It’s for rental cars because the rental car companies will charge you a fortune otherwise. It’s called a Visitor toll pass. We paid less than $10 in tolls with a round trip from and to Orlando, and a trip to WDW before we went back to the airport. It was great! You can learn about it at the website www.visitortollpass.com Hope this helps someone! Btw… we had a blast, loved it, and will likely be moving there after selling our home here. 😊
@DeborahLynnM2 жыл бұрын
ps… we saw the home that was struck by lightning because it was down the street from my cousin who has lived there since 2007. The home sits up higher than my cousin’s home because the street it’s on is up a small hill, and backs up to a golf course. Sad.

I rented a car at MCO and stopped by Costco on the way to my lifestyle visit. Hertz Rental at Spanish Springs is more expensive than the airport. But they did come pick me up at the hotel. I rented the moving van for $29 a day returned it after 4 hours. I've never driven a golf cart & the cart path map app was very frustrating !! I definitely want air conditioning so the golf cart was not for me at all. Noisy gasoline fumes smell. Definitely an individual's choice.

We've watched every Jerry and Linda video and for some reason, if we were asked, this would be the best one ever. Not sure why........maybe it was the affection we saw Jerry bestow upon Linda because he was so grateful for her return. Linda is very open with her affection which is very endearing. My husband thinks that Jerry is a natural for this medium and would have been a success in the field if he hadn't gone into teaching. Linda has become more comfortable as Jerry's sidekick and it is a joy to see. In this episode I got a kick out of how Linda called Jerry out when he said he gets tired when playing golf and Linda corrected him, you mean bowling which was the topic in that moment. I said to my husband Linda pulled a Jerry. Sorry Jerry...lol. We love you both. 💞 PS...we will be sending Marie a note of love and support, I have a feeling she will be inundated with love thanks to you guys.

Happy to say it all worked out, mostly. Nothing is perfect. We are relatively healthy but don’t have ferocious energy to live like they live in The Villages. A friend of mine just recently told me her Dad used to eat a teaspoon of mustard every night before bed and my Mom told me her FL friends swear by the pickle juice.

I will be glad to sent Ms. Marie a card, I hate that’s she’s so isolated! It’s hotter than hades in Arkansas too, 100+heat index this week…it’s going to be 3 shower days! Stay cool!!!

Gizmo is civilized and knows what pavement is for - my girls are the same way - but considering how scratchy winter grass can be..... If visitors are staying near Brownwood there is a Publix very close @Traverse Plaza (I think that was the name). 6% is the normal rate for MLS I believe - at least in MO, 3% each for the seller & buyer. Never heard of mustard or pickle juice for leg cramps, I will have to try it - does it matter if its sweet or dill? Great show as always!
