I really like this scene because it's one of the topics of the show: friendship. The cheerful marriage scene, all colorful and with people talking, clapping, it's about a marriage which will last a year and the car trip are just two friends which understand each other without saying a word. A trip with two friends to a mental institution has more truth and depth that the ritual of marriage.

This is the one scene that made the strongest impression to me from the whole series. I even looked up the song (despite that it's a classic, I'd never listened to it before). I believe it's the point where both House and us (the audience) realize what it really means to be so cynic that you push almost everyone away and yourself to therapy. Despite that the persons at the wedding were people he knew and had feelings for him, once, he did not let anyone, except Wilson, to come even close enough as to accompany him in probably the worse day of his life. Plus, the girl getting married had tried the most to get close to him, only to be mocked away, as early as season 1.

So many profound scenes in this show. It’s hard to say this one is “the best” but it’s definitely far beyond what most shows can only wish they could achieve! Another great scene was when Wilson opens the laptop and sees the party that went on during his daring double-chemo at House’s apartment. I always felt like it was an incredible gesture to help Wilson see that life goes on, even in the darkest hours of your life, there is still menial happiness for the taking. Perhaps, that’s all there ever is to be had..? What a show!

Humberto Berzosa I don't know if you're a big fanatic on House, but remember the very first episode of House. Wilson and House are discussing what becomes his first patient of the series. Hugh Laurie thought Wilson was the main character upon reading the script in his audition, and the show didn't have a title yet. The show literally began with House and Wilson. This scene encapsulates that same essence of the true friendship of "Hilson". Instead of enjoying the pleasantries of life at the wedding, Wilson is a true friend to House as House is sick and psychologically dying from his Vicodin abuse. House returns the favor in a much larger way in the finale. House sacrifices his life in order to accompany a sick and dying Wilson on Wilson's last five months. House and Wilson take off on their motorcycles as the final scene of the show. Like the first scene, the show starts and ends with House and Wilson side by side.

I just think House M.D. should have ended with an other final season in which wilson slowly dies of cancer. First, house should be in contact with his old team trough online interfaces and telephone calls, solving his medical riddles like that, while House is at Wilson his side who is getting worse, and this all of course upping the tension. Of course the reason his team is contacting him is because of the hints House left them, the fact there are so many cases only house can solve, and the fact that House could have only been at one place, which is with Wilson. Then near the finale, it is all ending with wilson finally dying in the second last episode, and house having a breakdown, and kinda just being in a state of apathy when the goverment thus finds him, because house reported Wilson died. Here at this moment, House no longer cares, because he did what he felt was important, which was to stay at Wilson's side untill his passing. But then, finale episode, final plot twist, he is summoned at the white house before he get's sent to prison and certain death, and he is ordered to find out what is wrong with the current president of the USA, who is the character of Senator Gary H. Wright, from the episode "Role model", but this time he is US president, not a senator. It then ends with House curing Gary H. Wright and being pardoned for his crimes, even though he is forbidden to ever practise medicine again and he will be send to jail if he ever does. After that, we do a time jump and find House several years later as a man of medicine up in some god forsaken place, respected and honored, practising medicine, but this time not because of the riddles, but because he both actually loves practising medicine and help people, with one final bitter sweet twist to the story, which is Thirteen ariving at the scene, carried in a chair/bed by several members of the tribe. House then greets her, says all is fine and the woods/mountains are good for a human's health, at which Thirteen replies that it does not matter that much anymore, because she is"not staying for long". House then aknowledges this statement, but still says she should at least stay a few more days, just to try to enjoy it, while still stressing that she can go whenever she wants, and when she requests this to happen, he will help her, just as he promised all those years ago, and he will for sure this time, because he knows now what it is to keep tough promises and be there with his loved ones untill the bitter end.

This episode shocked me but not for the reasons most people are surprised. That rehab facility at the end of the episode is the old Greystone Park Psychiatric hospital in Morris Plains NJ. At the time of House filming it was open and operating but was ordered to be closed around the same time the season aired. Unfortunately the building was torn down in 2015 (a shame because it was gorgeous) but it was a great place for all the high school kids to break into and hang out. This being my first time watching House I was astonished to see it on screen. I had to pause the show for a few moments because seeing it made me unreasonably giddy.

Funny how (and by funny I actually mean genial, like David Shore) Hilson endgame is already there, for the ones who aren't blinded by House and Cuddy: the parallel with the wedding, House and Wilson exchanging House's things, while Cameron and Chase are exchanging wedding bands and their vows. For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part. House and Wilson were the show.
