This is definitely the best conversion of a church I've ever seen. It's homely, interesting, respectful of the original architecture and features and above all tasteful. Not surprised this was featured in H&H.

When she started talking about working with the granite's undertones my heart fluttered. Thank you for preserving the original historic architecture and working WITH it. So many lazy designers, including some featured on this channel, would slap on white paint and try to force it into their favorite trendy, uncreative color scheme. Bravo.

One thing you have to appreciate in this is, not only the gorgeous architectural value of what the space used to be, but that it was converted into a genius living space. Trust Natalie Chong to throw her back into it when designing the space and not being afraid to just go for it.

Natalie is such a joy to watch. I also love that her designs are beautiful, considered and show a genuine appreciation for what was already there. I love that she also embraces the reality: there's not quite enough room on the couch for 2 and not quite enough room for that 4th chair around the round table - it makes me feel better about those niggles in my own home that are just never going to be perfect! Something can be beautiful and inspiring and imperfect at the same time. She's wonderful.
