He uses their own rules against them, but Jesus then demonstrates that blind obedience isn’t always right

No wonder I like Paul so much. He got in trouble with everybody too!

Dr. Heiser I respect your view on the Divine Council, and your knowledge of the gods of the nations. Doing things that are in Torah is not Jewish things. Sabbath is not a Jewish thing, Biblical Feast Days are not Jewish things, the food laws are not Jewish. they are all YHVH things. Why would I do anything that honors one of the gods of the nations and what that god has said or why would I continue to keep a feast day that belonged to one of those gods, then doing the things that honor the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob and what He has spoken? Paul can not do away with what God has said before, Paul can only put it into context between a new believer and the established believers. Put your context into the person that has just came to faith in Messiah and the God of Abraham Issac and Jacob. What will their families that follow these gods of the nations think, what will it do to their marriage, their children, it would not be easy for them. They may be old but are now children.
