Such a help! Lots of the other videos skip the steps about clamps and what the parts are and how they function. It’s helps to under stand so I can translate it to what the previous owners did with the sink in my house. Thru installed the faucet before dropping the sink in so the faucet fasteners are now blocked by the countertop, so my easy facet switch now involves getting the sink out first. Thank you for the great detailed instruction!

Thanks. Your demonstration is perfect. Now i have more confidence. I had forgotten that the front panel on the sink cabinet comes off as if the old fully rusted sink mounting screws weren't bad enough. Cheap. The new sink has brass mounting screws. Can't wait to get that awful old sink out.

It's hard to get a plumber these days. The good ones are very much sought after and hence hard to get. I would like my kitchen sink and faucet replaced. I was told it will not be easy. After watching your video I think I could try to do it myself. 😅 I took note of the tools you used. 🎉Thank you.

Clear, straight-forward and concise. Thanks for taking the time to make and post your helpful video. Liked the no-bucket move with the leaking stainless braided tubing. The only recommendation: edit out the non-visible loosening and tightening (faucet fixtures). Good camera work and audio! Thanks again from Okinawa, Japan.

I'd guess because of his surprise about the silicon under the rim. It's pretty standard practice to seal your sink with silicon and most sink instructions state for you to do it. Whoever installed mine was a dick and used grout to seal it, gotta figure out how to get that seal broken.
@scooterwilliams31052 жыл бұрын
When you remove the sink, you can leave the faucet connected to the sink and disconnect the water lines from the shut-off valves.

I have clamps much higher up and the screws are headless. The reason I was watching this video is because when I looked in my sink cabinet I could not see the screw driver slots on the ends of the screws and I was very confused as to how to get the screws out. I got in there with a flashlight and glasses and could see them. didn't actually need the glasses but the flashlight worked. If I could share pictures in comments here, I would for anyone else who has a sink like mine.

Thanks Shannon! Great video. I just renovated my kitchen and had no trouble removing the sink but it would have been a great benefit to see this video first as I wasn't sure how the plumbing was connected. I bought a new sink and faucet. The new faucet is one of the one handle faucets. To attach it to the countertop it has just one very long nut that turns forever to get it clamped. It's hard to get a wrench into the small area to tighten it. As a result, if you pull on the faucet it will move a bit. Do you know if there is a better tool for tightening these?
@HouseImprovements11 жыл бұрын
I know some of the better name brands include a long plastic type of socket/wrench that works really well. I keep two of them in my plumbing box as they fit most other manufactures as well. But unfortunately that does not help you any. There are "closet wrenches" out there but most i've seen will not fit those large nuts, but have a look for one. Some times you can get a pair of slip joint pliers on it as well.
@ds9911 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the quick reply. I'll go out today to see if I can find something. I don't like it loose because water might get under it. Keep the videos coming!

I jsut took out my powder room sink...it was a pedestal with the drain tucked tight behind...I couldn't get a wrench in to unscrew the drain...so I had to reciprocate the J trap right off where it comes out of the wall. PS what camera are you using? I like the quality of video and sound.
