Kobe I love you so much man, when I wasn’t good enough to make my high school team I cried so much. One day I watched one of your workout, interviews and motivational videos. Everyday I went to the gym cuz you told me to. When I was tired and wanted to quit I kept going cuz you told me to. When I was told I wasn’t good enough I believed in myself because you told me to! When the time came I made the team as a sophomore I cried and thanked you so much for giving me the blueprints to be the best I can be! All I can say is thank you and I will miss you so much! I’ll never forget you Kobe! Mamba Forever! P.s. My grandma that’s not here anymore is with you Kobe. She’s one of your biggest fans, tell her I said I love and miss her. RIP

Everything except 'HUMBLE' maybe until later in his career. Post-retirement, definitely. His arrogance as a 17-year-old and throughout his career, combined with the talent and ethic and, dare I say, aesthetic of his approach to the game put him among the Top 10, and, in my view, even higher than that.

I am a die hard Suns fan.. i remember when my Suns were the two seed playing the 7 seed Lakers in 2006.. everyone was picking the Suns to win in four or five... I remember telling everyone that would listen..... "but they have Kobe Bryant!".. to most, including all the sports analysts, it didn't matter, the Suns were so much better as a team.. but I knew better. Kobe Bryant at that time was the most dangerous player in the NBA.. going into that series, I was terrified. I thought that the Suns could be the first two seed to lose to a seven seed in decades. And I was right almost, Kobe Bryant darn near won that series all by himself, took the Suns to 7 games! Kobe Bryant was the second most clutch player (Jordan being first) I've ever witnessed with my eyes. In my humble opinion, he is the second greatest basketball player in history. I know there is a Jordan vs LeBron debate.. but I agree with Shaquille O'Neal and Allen Iverson, y'all just going to pass Kobe Up!?! If I wanted to win a game 7 with all the chips on the line, I take Kobe over LeBron 10 out of 10 times. Kobe Bryant is an assassin... Not only is he the second greatest player that ever lived, but I don't think it's even close. LeBron James is definitely top five, but he ain't no Kobe.. as a Suns fan, I never once feared LeBron James like I did Kobe Bryant.

What he did for fans and kids in need makes him a legend. Rip Kobe Bryant 🖤

I am a Suns fan, and I hated Kobe because he scared me every time we played the Lakers in the playoffs. He single handedly beat us in the 2009-2010 western conference championship. He kept us out of the finals. I don't understand why he gets leap-frogged when people rank the greatest players of all time. This Man hit so many game winners in his career. I'm 43 years old, I watched Michael Jordan beat my Suns in the finals... He's the GOAT..and ONLY one other player scared me as much as MJ..and that's Kobe. When we play LeBron, I was never scared of him.. because he doesn't have that fire and ability to take over games late in the fourth quarter.. in my humble opinion, Kobe is the second greatest player of all time.. and quite frankly, it ain't even close. LeBron is a beast..but he ain't Kobe when it counts. RIP to the assassin..

@Desmond Hackney he went to eight straight finals in the weakest Eastern conference we've ever had in a decade's span. I read where they showed the talent level as far as strength and records of teams in a conference over a 10-year span. in the eight seasons LeBron went to the finals, it just so happens that coincided with the weakest 10 straight years of any conference in NBA history. That's not to say LeBron didn't have some tough battles here and there in the East, but as a whole it was embarrassingly weak. Kobe Bryant on the other hand had to run through the gauntlet out west just to make it to the finals much less win it. if you were to take either of Kobe's championship winning squads and transplant them into the East during LeBron's run, Kobe would have probably had ten or more finals appearances instead of the seven appearances he finished with. And if you go back and watch some of those finals wins, you can thank some of those nail biting games to players other than LeBron late in fourth quarters in crunch times..remember when Ray Allen hit in that three to save LeBron's you know what in Miami after LeBron had TWO crucial turnovers mere possessions prior? Remember Kyrie Irving's three against the warriors in 2016 that saved LeBron's you know what? my point is LeBron is great, definitely and arguably one of the best ever. But my argument is not only can you put up the numbers, but can you take over games in crunch time when it counts in the playoffs.. and Time after Time LeBron deferred.. Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant excelled in those crunch moments.

you worded it better than I ever could. People keep saying "shaq" without realizing who closed out 4th quarters when the game got close since shaq would brick every free throw. @@l.e.o_luvu5450 im not making anything worse im not disrespecting kobe in any way, these people who are making fake stories and dickriding for likes after someone has died are the real toxic ones, you literally see it everywhere, juice wrld's death, xxxtentacion's death, if someone has already said it there is no need to keep saying it again for likes and attention, just like there comment and go about whatever your doing simple

My favorites: 7:07, defense all over his face. 7:29, Ray Allen fully guarding him. 12:19, like the Michael Jordan hangtime vs Nets.

10:12 game winner over the Phoenix Suns. Take a second to look at how he doesn't look at the basket, doesn't look at the clock. In this moment he has blinders on he is focused on one spot on the floor, he hits that spot, turns and sinks the game winner. That shot was hours of work put in the gym, that shot was everything he exemplified.

There is never a week that goes by where I don’t think of you. Like a lot of us I had a dream to make the league. The dream started with you! You were the first player I ever watched a game for. I was a 10 year old staying up to watch your post game interviews. Your The guy who made me beg my family to buy all the 2000-2003 Lakers dynasty documentaries. The mind set and dedication is something I try to emulate till this day. It hurts me to know the way you left us, with your amazing baby girl. There will never be another KOBE! I will defend your name until I die! Rest In Peace brother! We all miss you.

Never was as excited to watch any other player on the court. The moves he would do were amazing and incredible.. and against tough competition, double or triple-teamed. Truly the 🐐 R.I.P. 🕊

The *FIRST SONG* is absolute Flames..... Sounds almost like its saying *"KOBEEEEEE....."* ...... 1)This guy was a LEGEND before he even retired. 2)Became an ICON once he retired 3)Becomes NBA basketball itself after his death and lives through every player and soul he inspired.

some of the moves kobe made, no one else can do. the degree of difficulty on his baskets from nearby or fade aways 20 ft away from the bucket. it’s insane and i miss him everyday. i miss watching his games and knowing how exciting it was going to be to watch the mamba play. man.
