This is a mostly unedited video of my time with my neighbor Angie. Over the past year i’ve given her lots of potted plants and cuttings. She’s been doing a phenominal job caring for them, but sometimes she struggles a bit due to a busy schedule. Let’s help her out!

I think so too! She’s really hard on herself though. She wants to save every plant. I tell her all the time that some loss is normal and to be expected. ☺️

You're so kind in helping out a neighbor. I'm a new plant dad with a history of killing any plant I get, but I recently impulse bought a money tree and I'm anxious about wanting it to SURVIVE. I think it may have been over watered at the big box store I got it from, so I'm letting it dry out a bit. I haven't repotted it yet as it was an impulse buy and I have NO tools or anything, but I suspect it has some issues. It's in a west facing window that gets a lot of sun in the evenings. I've noticed it has a few very small holes and yellow/brown spotting in a few of it's leaves. Could this be because of root rot? Sunburn? If anyone is able to give suggestions I'd be very greatful. 😅

Yeah watering schedule changes so much when the weather starts getting hot… you gotta check on the small pots every couple days. The bigger pots retain more water so they are fine not being watered so often, but small pots dry out much faster.

Im not an expert buuuut I think that those ceramic pots are the problem here. They are taking a lot of moisture from the plant so you have to give water more often. At least that was a problem with my plants! Anyway they are still beautiful 💚 Good luck 😘

I wish you were my neighbor 😅😅. this past week in NYC, our weather was 95- 100 5 days straight. I lost 3 of my calathea,and my only 2 begonias are struggling. I'm guessing they were to delete for the heat wave. now I'm hoping I didn't over water the rest of my plants because I panicked. smh

How to know if you are over watering basil, rosemary, sage, and a cherry tomatoe plant? Is it supposed to be once a week even when soil gets dry? Seems hard to keep a plant alive for me. They may not get enough sun as they have to be by windowsill.

Their variegation is light and temperature dependent. Mine always starts throwing out green leaves when it starts getting cold. In the spring as it warms up, the variegation comes back. It’s really, really hot here in New Orleans right now and my leaves are the lightest I’ve ever seen them!
