Not to sound like a hater but omg those buggies (the two yellow and blue birds) are in way to small of a cage they need a much larger cage to spread there Wings preferably on that is longer than it is tall. Buggies in the wild fly for miles and miles a day it's not healthy for them to be cooped up in such a confined space.

It's best to get in touch with a local garden center. They know the conditions and what grows best in them. Most plants don't mind a cool room so long as they have some light. I know it stays dark longer there in the winter and I know there's often cloudy weather. If you leave your bathroom light on during the day, or even a smaller lamp with a bright bulb in it, they would probably be happy. Also, you can move plants around. If you have one in there and it looks like it wants more light, you can trade it and love a different one to it's place. I have to do that with all my plants as my whole house is very dark. Best of wishes.

My best guess is white powdery mold, but the neem oil should help with mold... maybe remove the top layer of soil and add some fresh soil from a newly opened bag. Most house plants like to dry out in between watering too, maybe they aren't getting the chance to?

I have a ton of house plants and they are all crowded in front of my few windows that I have, is there any way to tell if a houseplant can survive in low light and if not what kind of light bulb can I use to supplement lighting? I really want to spread them throughout my house.

Laura, you mentioned a plant that was bamboo-Like and it was in something. That looked like an easel with protruding trays. How much is that stand, and does your parents' store ship items. I am on the east coast.
