Her apartment is wall-to-wall, floor to ceiling plants, over 600 plants. Oh, and she has a pet chicken instead of a cat. I would love to see a tour of your outdoors.

Hi Nick. Beautiful plants. I love the string of hearts. I bought 2 and 1 completely died because it was infested with bugs. The other one I bought from a different nursery and I keep it in a hanging container very close to a south facing window. I noticed the leaves at the top where very lush, but most have turned yellow and mushy. The strings themselves have the heart shaped leaves but the longer the vine gets the tinier the leaves appear. It does however grow the flower bulbs. Just wanted to know if you could offer any advice on care. I don't water it that often, not sure what to do. I love her and I want her to survive. Help! And where did you say you purchased yours? Thanks so much.

I give mine all go bright light. Some direct sun light as well. I use well draining soil and water him when he’s 100% dry. You can grow them taller by separating them and have them in bigger pot.

Luv ur collection! Try to get the pencil cactus...Also, I would hang individual plant shelves from the ceiling or a home made ( pipe) curtain rod and thick rope on your bedroom windows, it will add a rustic touch to your modern style, maybe using glass shelves if possible. You can try covering the side windows only if you want to have bare window in the middle. I prefer the light filtering through the plants for a forest feel. Just an idea. Whatever you do, do not stop what u r doing!!! MilyDarling from Florida

PTK4life Yes they can be demanding and expensive over time so you do need to practice self control at times. I think I’m going to focus on plant swap and share cuttings to grow my collection...but that will require a lot more time 😬😆

Hi! I’m new to owning plants and the bird of paradise is my first! I’ve had it for about a year and and I’ve been doing well with growing new leaves but I noticed overtime my leaves have all started to wilt. Why is this? And how can I fix it? I bought a slow release fertilizer a couple weeks ago to help it but so far nothings happened. I want mine to look as gorgeous as yours!

Your spider plant looks like my first plant ever. I have always cut the spiderettes to gift them to friends but as for the spider plant itself it's just TOO TOO BIG. I'm sure I can probably Google it but can I carefully split it? And what about making these 12-16 inch leaves shorter without making the plant look like crap.

Nad I find these two are the easiest ones for me. The Calathea ornata on the other hand is giving me issues. Get a humidifier or take them in the shower when you have hot showers once a week. 😊

Zach Kelley They are in a nursery pots that has drainage holes. I take them out of their white pots and water then over the sink, then I put them back in their white pots. 😊

IKEA shelves they look really nice and you can also get two BESTA UNIT one in each side of the TV so you only have to drill two holes in the wall and you can put multiple shelves and it would match your apartment perfectly sort of inexpensive I say sort of because it depends on the ones you get I got my in the AS IS SECTION and I love them love your channel

Quick question for you - my monstera has been getting brown spots on new leaf growths and it has been growing very slowly. Any ideas why? I think it may be due to the lack of lighting.

taylornique She only nibbles on the spider plant and the ponytail palm. The rest she doesn’t bother with. you can use a spray bottle to train them to not go near any of your plants.

I am about to make myself a galvanized pipe entertainment center. Specifically to really show case my plants. Would look great in your set up and show casing all your plants. Its cost effective too. I suggest looking on pinterest if you need ideas for layout but a floor to ceiling shelves around your t.v. will look awesome along wall where you already have existing t.v. in my opinion. Hope this helps.

For your plants that aren't getting enough humidity, have you ever tried setting them on a try with water and rocks so the water can evaporate and provide the plant with the extra humidity?

Carrie Tafoya I have done that and it doesn’t really do much for me. I started to put them in shower stall and run a hot shower and it helps. But today I just got myself a humidifier 😆🌿 so that will do the job for sure.

How do you get rid of gnats in your plants? Do you use Miracle Gro Potting soil?

SheLearnsLife I get rid of gnats by using left over wine. lol. Especially if they are sweet. They will be attracted to it and will drown. You can also use Apple cider vinegar with a bit of dish soap, or get one of those bug spray that’s for plants. I use that soil brand or other brands as well. When it comes to soil for my plants I’ll typically use regular potting mix wth cactus soil and a bit of perlite to help with drainage.

Hi, what do you do with your plants when you go away on a long holiday? I’m trying to think of alternatives to a plant sitter. A lot of my plants only need weekly watering and so self watering pots are probably not the best? :a

JC So. I’m usually not gone for more than 5 days, so that makes it easy. I make sure before I leave the plants that need to be watered are watered and taken care of before I leave. I have a friend that stops once while I’m gone to check on the cat and the plants that needs to be watered or rotated. But for most times, plants can go without watering for a week. Depends on your the kinds you have. They’ll also bounce back if you find them a little gloomy and dehydrated. I’ve never used self watering pots.
