Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Would still love to see a Trailmakers battle (land or air, your choice) where you have shields that you can only take out with EMP weaponry before you're allowed to shoot the creation with ballistic weapons only.

Another idea: a battle where you can only shoot at each other when you’re supersonic, this could be challenging due to the high speed, but also very fun. And you can do this on all sorts of different vehicles!

If you made the servos free spinning, and add a gyro on top, then the weapon on top of that, they should stay stabilised horizontally keeping them all pointing in the same direction, ignoring carriage rotation. Anyway, please play EMP Dethrone!!!

Would that also work with angle sensors and two stacked servos? One servo corrects for the angle of the carriage, and the other aims the gun around?

Use the compass sensor with two stacked servos. One servo always points north, the other you rotate where you want.

Well, hover trains over water with EMPs could be interesting, depends on how many disabled carts it takes to sink a train, which will change from round to round.... possibly mix in a rocket somewhere too ....also, plane-train?

Always enjoy you two and your shenanigans. :) Suggested this on Yzuei's video: Combat using builds based on the Cobra POGO from G.I.Joe. Boosters with logic to provide constant short bursts of vertical "hops", 3 (or 1, or 2, or 4, etc.) suspensioned legs to cushion the landing (with friction pads to land on) and a single weapon on either the top or bottom of the cockpit. Of course each round you upgrade the weapon as usual. I think it could be a hilariously chaotic battle, from my single-player testing.

3 more types of trains you can do: 1. Air-trains, altitude sensors with those hot air balloon blocks so you stay at a certain altitude. 2. Sub-trains, under water trains, basically sea snakes fighting with guns. 3. Boat-Trains: Exactly what it sounds like, would be hilarious on the water map with massive waved.

Trailmakers should add a feature that lets you set the weapons to target specific parts of an enemy vehicle. Like setting your cannon to target trailer hinges or weapons or cockpits, etc

A suggestion for future train battles. Maybe premade all the carts with some a bit more complicated rules and restrictions and then each round you can just switch up the carts from the total you have made so that they fit in the curent round power cores. I know that some weapons are straight up better than others and power cores aren't accurate enough to reflect that But you could maybe do it point based on your own balancing

Another potentially train idea you two could do could be ship trains. Same concept as here as except every segment is part of a boat. Would be interesting to see how the physics played out, particularly if you did it on the ocean map with all the waves.

Same thing, but on the water so you have to constantly stay moving. Maybe an EMP battle on the water, the haywire with the hoverpads and maybe even detachable blocks on the hoverpads could lead to fun sinking moments. Throw in an auto-detatch for sunk cars for maximum fun.

Don’t need tracks to be a train. Just a bunch of units linked together going the same way. That’s why in Australia, you have the “road trains” where three trailers are hooked together behind a single semi-truck (tractor-trailer) cab.

The next time you do, one of these, you should have like the front of the carts have things that goes slightly more out, and then shields on them, extend outwards to protect the hinges, and still allow it to bend

I love these type of challenge videos but one thing I would like to see is how these fights would go if the guns were locked to a 90 degree perpendicular to the segment they are on, kind of like how pirate ships fight! Also another great idea, unless I missed it would be pirate ship battle with side fire cannons only! Maybe an evolution style fight? I love Scrapman and his videos! Keep the sandbox creation games alive! Edit: I did see that they did a pirate ship battle in the Sea update so now maybe we could get a Space one, kinda based on Star Wars capital ship style fights?

Still need a starfighter evolution battle. Start with 10 power cores, 150 blocks, and fight in the asteroid field. Each round adds 5 power cores and 50 blocks to modify the winning design from previous round.

So technically, black powder cannons have a programed trajectory of an arc. If you were to do either train or hover trains in the centrifuge with only backwards facing black powder cannons as your weapons......I mean, either they'll slam into you due to their conservation of momentum throwing it into the car or it'll lob out and then smash into the course behind you. Something like a battle race where your only weapon option is to attack behind you and boost.

Airship battle, but : using only inflatable balloons to stay in the air with only one control bound : the one to deflate them, and only using EMPs for weapons. This means with each shot that lands the airship floats less and less until someone's gonna drop out of the sky ! Would probably work best on the airborne map

It's not quite a train idea, but I couldn't help noticing how you had to keep slithering your train around like a snake to manage its orientation, so maybe you guys could try to build combat snakes? It'd be pretty interesting to see two giant, mechanical snakes try to chomp or squeeze each other to pieces

Can't remember if you have done space trains yet. Essentially just trailer hitched components that follow a spacecraft instead. Building would be interesting due to how momentum will carry through with them. You would have to always be moving in a forward-ish direction or risk self destructing your build.

I have a suggestion for another train battle. The winner makes a carriage that'll be added to the losers train, and the winner wouldn't get a new carriage (first to reach 3 or 5 points wins). Also, another idea, anything goes battle, but each person makes a vehicle that is in the shape of something associated with their channel (your's would be a gear, kan's would be a trashcan, etc).

If you want to minimize fishtailing, you should use large hinges and add some stabilizer system (if you can)

Idea: get two bodyguards to protect one big vehicle/ objective the bodyguards get 3 respawns while the attackers get infinite. This could be anything you want, from boat protected by jet powered boats to a slow flying target protected by agile small fighters Idk if you done this before but it's worth a shot

13:50 Yzuei didn't actually destroy Scrapman. His train cars glitched together for a couple seconds before they decided they didnt like that for some reason. That's why the carts and train were so destroyed. The weapons alone couldn't have done that damage.

Oh man so close to fixing tailwhip with gyro. But I have a theory and believe you used the wrong gyro. I believe you need the gyro stabilizer. The one with the gem. Have the gem facing the rear of the vehicle / cart to prevent tailwhip. Those gyro stabilizers are not specifically designed for just keeping your builds facing upright but rather provides stability to keep an axis locked to the direction the gem is facing.
