"it's a 2 stroke that's been sitting for more than 5 minutes it might not run" 😂 truer words have not been said
@phao30932 ай бұрын
Lmao, true. I always had a problem with the oil separating from the fuel and filling the carb full of 2 stroke oil when I let a 2 stroke bike sit. But my weedeater has been sitting in the garage for 3 years and started right up with 3 year old gas and ran perfectly😅 so it's kind of a roll of the dice there

You guys should buy a 1/4”x4’x8’ sheet of HDPE and you can cut it long ways into enough strips to go all the way around the hover craft. You can heat it up and form it to the contours and screw it on. It would give you a very durable armor plating to prevent any future problems. This is what they put on the bottom of jet boats and things that run river rapids to prevent boulders from denting or at least penetrating the bottom. You could line the bottom with it too and never have to worry about it again! 👍

I’ve seen people put piston on and then put the clips on and I’m like dude you can put one clip in up on the workbench and then when u put the piston in you have one less chance of loosing a clip flying Mach speed across garage or in the bottom end of a engine

Little old school fiberglass tip: If you rub your open skin with baby powder, the baby powder will fill your pores and keep the fiberglass dust form, making you itch as much. Then take a cold shower and scrub any open skin really well, then turn it out to hot and scrub really well again. After years of roofing i was pretty annoyed to find out this tip works really well, because i didnt learn it earlier

The connecting rod has similar roller bearings at the other end of the rod also. they are necessary for such high RPM two stroke engines. it would have been nice if you could made sure. that the two pistons weighed close to the same weight for balancing purposes. something that is also necessary for such high RPM engines.

before doing fiberglass work you should always use baby powder to fill all the pores in your skin! it will help 100Xs!! I rub down from head to toe with baby powder because when the fibers get airborne it gets everywhere! also, try a heat gun to the finish to see if it will take the haze, cloudy look out of the finish.

just a small tip, If you don't have Tyvek suits when working fiberglass composites this might help, I worked in a tool fabrication shop that used a lot of fiberglass, just a simple 100 percent cotton long sleeve flannel shirt works great, sure it's hot! but it captures a lot of the itchy stuff. do not wear manmade materials like rayon, nylon, polyester, you will regret it. also don't rest your bear arms on anything with fiberglass dust on it.

A tip for fiberglassing on vertical to horizontal surfaces or any surface where it's difficult to lay out is to first apply a coat of resin/epoxy to the surface then apply the fiberglass dry and wet it out from there. This can make overhead or challenging shapes much easier to glass than trying to stick wet glass to the surface where it can slip, slide or sag from the weight of the glass and epoxy. 👍👍
