@LuisMendoza-pp9qi4 жыл бұрын
this is a perfect case of "NOT WORTH IT!! JUST BUY NEW ONES!!" The only thing that was saved from the original was the leather skin, and even that had to be cleaned, reconditioned and polished!!
@TrentonHeath4 жыл бұрын
It’s was around $250...plus or minus a little. For $700 shoes, that’s still quite a lot of money saved.
@abrinkley74 жыл бұрын
You don’t just get rid of and buy a new pair of 700-800$ shoes you get them refurbished and now they’re like new with a leather that is perfect for your foot. Same thing with really nice pairs of cowboy boots.
@LuisMendoza-pp9qi4 жыл бұрын
@@abrinkley7 well, my point is how someone would let their shoes get so far abused!! there was literally a hole in the sole so his sock was touching the pavement!! Someone actually pays $700 for shoes and don't mind stepping on dirt?!?! How does that makes sense!?!?🤔🤔🤔
@abrinkley74 жыл бұрын
@@LuisMendoza-pp9qi I agree with sentiment that he should have sent them in far sooner, but you said that he should buy a new pair which is the part I am disagreeing with.

I find it so funny when they "restore" something but practically make a completely new one like what is the point? Just make a separate one by yourself since you change almost every bit of the original. lol
@CrispyFrenFry4 жыл бұрын
The point of getting our shoes restored is to increase its lifespan and reduce overall waste associated with purchasing mass produced shoes designed to wear out within a year or two. By investing in good leather shoes you're investing in something that can last decades if cared for well. Think of the soles like tires. Do you throw out your car once your wheels are ready for replacement?
@abrinkley74 жыл бұрын
The shoes cost 700-800$ it cost 250$ to restore meaning restoring save substantial amounts of $ these shoes are fit to the wearers foot and feel like nothing you’ve ever worn.
@ttop644 жыл бұрын
This guy must have gotten tired of wet socks and finally decided to get his shoes repaired. :D Also since you cut the channel for the stitching by hand does the machine you use to make a channel for the stitches work only for rubber or Danite soles? Or was this a case of the leather soles being too thin to use it ?
@Enrico-4 жыл бұрын
The channel needs to be cut before you use the Blake stitching machine

Anybody that can pay $700.00 for a pair of slippers can just go out and pay another$700.00 dollars and not have to worry about refurbishing the old one's, at least that's my opinion, unless you're saying the guy is a penny pincher then he wouldn't have bought those in the first place.
