The lady at the beginning is absolutely right, a mother's scream after losing her baby is a sound you can't forget. When my daughter was diagnosed with brain cancer and she was getting chemotherapy in the hospital every other week. And several of the weeks we were there I heard different mother's scream after their child dies. I would just sit and hold my daughter and silently cry listening to the mom. My daughter would always ask what was going on and at first I would just say someone is sad, then the day where one happened in the next room we could hear everything. And I had to tell her that the mom is crying cause her baby went to heaven. I think she understood it she was 6 years old and would cry also. So we would always just try to distract her from what was going on. I wasn't ready for the day when she asked me if that was going to happen to her. No parent deserves to bury their child and as horrific as this was I'm glad they caught the killer. This is just so unimaginable.

@@SpywareEverywhere No, she will always have it. The tumors are wrapped around her motor nerve in her brain. So both surgeries trying to remove it didn't work cause the doctor said they couldn't get it all without risking paralyzing her or death so they left it and it's grown back even bigger. Chemo did shrink it from 6mm to 5mm, that 1mm took the pressure off and now her leg doesn't go numb. When it does then we know it's growing more. But she will always have it and there is nothing else we can do.

One thing I've learned, is not to allow strange people in and around your home to cut grass, paint, renovate or repair things and to do odd jobs. People start to get too familiar and they get comfortable thinking they can continue to come around at any given moment. They know the neighbors will not get suspicious because they've been seen there at your home doing work. We just never know who we're allowing around our family members and loved ones. I would suggest starting to ask family and friends to help with things that need to get done or hire a professional company. Better yet, make sure you have surveillance covering the entire home to keep record of who's coming and going at all times. 📸 God bless you baby girl, rest in The arms of God 🙏🌹

A lot of houses are easy to break in to. If they are alone in a “locked” house, they are still very much vulnerable to predators. I seen a video where a door got kicked in along with the whole frame. Glass can be shattered. Locks can be picked. We have to stop leaving our children home alone. They have no physical advantage over an adult. If parent’s have no choice or just outright refuse, at least get better security hardware.. gotta get stronger frames/doors. Add security doors, get shatter proof windows or bars and whatever else. The idea is that criminals won’t spend too much time trying to get in once realizing it’s difficult and leave. What makes this sad case even more tragic, is the fact that there was other DNA discovered on her body, as stated in the video of the trial, of at least 3 other people, but Melissa (who is being interviewed), only talks about one person, who was out on probation, and no one knew his whereabouts during the time of the murder). So did they ever find him or the other 2 people, and investigate them further also? Why was their DNA found on her body/crime scene? I feel that this is unfinished, and there is more to it. What is scary, is that there are probably at least a couple others who may have been involved somehow, and they are predators wandering around freely.

I agree. Is there a possibility that Mr Coons did not commit the crime but was interested in what had occurred after she was murdered? Maybe he touched her cheek or other areas to see if she was still alive but did not want to involve himself knowing full well he would be a suspect because of his record? Or maybe he and others were involved? Maybe he thought to assault her but changed his mind? Maybe he went to the door to see if anyone was home before he let others break into the home? Who knows. But I, like you, donot feel he was solely responsible for her death, if at all involved. They were real quick to pin it on him though.

As I read the comments, many things come to mind as a Mother. I also had tried to hide emotions. Then one morning my son bounced out from his room, looked at me and asked, are you okay? I realized then how important it was for him for me to not minimize my own discomfort to something. It empowers their own knowledge of encounters with others. As for the video I’m at 7:56 with tears streaming down, the thoughts of encountering other individuals who have left impressions of some behaviors distress me.

He gave them exactly what happened in his interview when asked why do you think someone would do this....makes total sence that he was knocking on the door to see if anyone was home, broke in to burglarize the home later thinking no one was home and "she surprised him" by being there. Not an excuse by any means but I'm surprised no one caught that.

I never leave my kid alone, but if I did he wouldn't open the door for anyone. He won't even open the door for anyone with me right there. People know better than to just pop in at my house. If you do ain't nobody coming to the door. If I hear a knock at the door I straight up panic and hide. Unless I happen to covertly discover who's there in the midst of hiding I will not answer. I've had a recurring nightmare as far back as I can remember of people breaking in and trying to kill me, so every time there's a knock at the door I instantly fear the worst. Better to be paranoid than dead.
