Somebody needs to start looking at changing custody laws. A killer's family should not be allowed to take custody unless the victim's family is unable. Half the time, the killer's family enabled the killer or even raised the killer.

ABSOLUTELY on point. Really. If they raised a psychopath who’s to say they won’t do the same again now with the grandkids???! // Regarding the person who says she’s having a “civil exchange”, yeah sure, they were the first one triggered and calling names, said I was narrow minded, when I was just stating facts about infancy and psychology (fortunately her aggressive reply has been deleted now). No point in arguing with anyone with such heavy projection issues. She’s right now name calling another user saying they’re “sketchy”.

His surviving brother had no involvement or interest in the snake business. In fact Ben was in process of selling off a lot of the snakes at the time of his death. Largely due to Lynlee constantly comparing about the time he spent on the business and that sometimes she had to help. Obviously she was not a team player and wanted all the money for herself including a 1 million dollar life insurance policy. A divorce settlement wasn’t good enough. Thus the murder. It’s sad for brother Ben that she also managed to sell the family farm, originally owned by their parents, as well as getting 100% control of the kids and Ben’s ashes! I have never heard of the murderer getting rights to ashes of their victim! Shameful on Missouri!

It wasn’t the judge at fault here it was the jury! They convicted her of second degree not first degree murder so the judge was limited by the laws governing sentencing. The judge even expressed disgust at the verdict and said “you got lucky” to her at sentencing. I watched the entire trial and many interviews with people involved. She was guilty! She had numerous affairs during their short marriage and used Ben for money to open a spa. She quickly ran it into the ground and needed more money. A divorce settlement wasn’t enough for her, she wanted the 1 million in life insurance money. Plus she sold the family farm and his burgeoning snake business before her conviction so she made our like a bandit despite not getting that life insurance (I assume because she was convicted that the company did not pay out to her but it likely went to the kids (one biological, the other she had with another man but Ben raised as his own). Now her family has custody of the kids til she gets out, therefor she in essence does have control of all the money because those kids are so young 😞. I feel very sorry for Ben’s brother, he was cheated out of everything including his brother’s ashes!!

I remember this story. This was crazy how she planned to do this to her beautiful life partner/children’s father. She will never meet anyone that special again! He is dead now-so we can’t even meet this beautiful man if we wanted to. His children will never get to grow old with they’re awesome Dad! I hope she never gets out! This was cold -blooded

The judge HOPES she doesn’t kill again? Wtf? Shame on the justice system as justice was not served.

It's nuts, if there's a chance, keep them in prison for the rest of their life. They give you more time for non violent crimes. This was first degree premeditated murder, and she tried to pin it on her husband's brother.
@mindin2941 Жыл бұрын
Jury trial. Jury verdict. The judge thought she deserved a lot more time and probably gave maximum time. But it was based on the jury saying 2nd degree which means less time. Thats why judge called her lucky. He was mad at the jury for letting her off so easy

this is beyond crazy, 30 years ago i was sentanced to 20 years in prison, and i got out in 2013 1 year early, this is outrageous me someone with marjiuanna got more years than a cold blooded killer, i have thankfully turned my life around and now own a used car dealership in Oklahoma but this is outrageous!

As a man, I’m absolutely sick of this. I watch tons of these crime shows, and when a woman kills her husband or has them killed, it’s always the same. Get in court with a pantsuit or conservative dress, hair tied back in a ponytail or some other simple style and get a light sentence. You already killed him physically, then proceeded to destroy his character by claiming he was abusive even though there’s absolutely no evidence to support it. Men’s lives are as disposable as an old magazine.

This is evil justice. Laws needs ri change when their is beyond reasonable doubt the defender committed crime it is automatic life sentences or at least 40 to 50 years. It shouldn’t be up to how jury liked her. She absolutely murdered him what cruel women. Best part is kids would grow up and knows what she did. And she won’t touch money or wealth
