Nice video - and if, at full throttle, the belt doesn't reach far enough toward the outer diameter of the drive clutch (the one attached to the engine), check to see if the engine speed governor is preventing the engine from reaching its specified RPM (maybe about 3500 RPM).

It reaches much far enough 🤣 I've got these all dialed down to about 2500 rpm or we have way too many operator accidents

Do you have any idea why my belt is not spinning nor is the shaft below where the belt rides on? The clutch is spinning but is not grabbing hold of the belts

Very well explained...now im very curious as to how the starter system works...i know in cars and riding lawnmowers you turn a key and it turns the starter....but i noticed that you just oressed the gas pedal and the starter started to start the engine....HOW IN THE HECK DOES THIS WORK?

There's a on/off switch on a spring attached to the throttle pedal cable that activates the solenoid the key switch would usually activate if it had a ignition key style start system. Exactly the same setup as a gas powered golf cart.

@machinesnmetal so it must be just when you barely press on the pedal because otherwise it would never shut off and always be sending power to the starter as long as the pedal was pressed

there is a switch on the pedal that activates a relay solenoid when you press it the starter kicks in, and once the engine starts the starter switches into an alternator to charge the battery. When you let go of the pedal there is a stop switch that activates and kills the ignition.

What if the rear clutch isn't opening as the drive clutch closes? Could this be the reason my belts keep breaking?

I work on golf carts is a horrible system a simple centrifugal clutch like in a scooter would be vastly better
