I have the same tool you use and I watched your video and removed the towel in less than 3 mins. It’s been over ten years since I had to unclog a toilet. We got a new plumbing for the entire house.I forgot how to use the tool. Your video helped me with easy removal. My wife is also grateful!!! She flushed the towel down the toilet with some mop water. Thanks for your video. I have a different type of auger but showing how close to the bottom of the toilet to put the coil was golden. It changed everything. I made sure to have the start of the coil right at the bottom of the bowl, snaked it in and then turned. Done in a minute! Saved me a lot of frustration.

Try the Milwaukee m12 auger. Its around 150 bucks. The general telescopic auger is 100 bucks so not much more

Bought a cheap one from Canadian Tire. I don't know if it worked because the water did go down completely but I didn't pull anything out. I went to flush it but to no success, the water came rising up again but went down to normal level but still the toilet didn't flush correctly and all the poop residue that was in the toilet is now hanging around in the bowl. I tried the hot water and soap trick and it seemed to help a little bit but now I'm stuck with dirty water in the bowl that won't go down 🙁. Any advice? Edit : The toilet sorted itself out after two months and now works fine so idk what happened

I have a toilet that a "genius" teenager clogged up with paper towels. It is so clogged that water level does not drop at all. To make it worse, it's not just one or two pieces but a bunch. I saw how much she grabbed to clean up a small spill in the bedroom and it's probably 20 sheets. I bought a smaller version of the closet auger and cannot get it to go in. After insertion I may get it in another 2 inches and nothing. Paper towels aside, these toilets clog with only human feces. They are horrible. Is it possible that the passages in the toilet are too small for the auger?

Hardly anyone will ever admit to dropping something into the toilet bowl and admit to be the culprit, they always just wish beyond hope that the object or debris will magically be pulled through and no one will be the wiser lol. Getting an auger and a better plunger today despite the wife's wishes to simply pour Drano into the toilet. Me thinks she protests too much saying we don't need an auger lol.

What if your toilet flushes but doesn't have any pressure and bubbles when the water goes down edit: I actually fixed mine just being persistent putting hot water and dishwashing soap I had something stuck in there I have kids so there's no telling I also got some of this acid stuff you can buy from Walmart or tractor supply eventually it ended up going down. I tried to snake my toilet more times than I can count that never worked for me, I also turn my water pressure up by opening my valves all the way on my hot water heater but I think what really did the trick was the liquid lightning it is sulfuric acid and eventually it away whatever was there I think it might have been a toy something plastic I mean I did this routine for about a week and then I gave up and eventually it ended up fixing itself lol I'm not tired just going to call a plumber so I was just like, that's how it is now I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

If the toilet is plugged up and the snake auger does not work it's easier to just remove the toilet and snake it back the other way. Toys, balls, etc. are hard to remove unless you remove the toilet. Been there done that😀
