How accurate ARE Pokémon weights?!

It shocked me that the 30g moth looks massive, but its still no where near Venomoth...the pokemon world is a terrifying place, and maybe Prof. Oak was right to not let me in tall grass.

It's a bizarre world where bugs are as heavy as car tyres, but giant, 9-meter steel snakes only weigh as much as cows... Life is convoluted in the Pokéworld.

Honestly, I never got why they wanted to make weight such an important mechanic, since they handle weight classes for pokemon so unrealistically. Heck, it's even a meme that Wailord, the largest pokemon of all for a long time, is even lighter than air.

I agree. For example, they have certain moves that do move damage the heavier the target, but how are you meant to know the weight if none make any sense?!

I did wonder this, however upon further research it does appear that single-cell organisms are indeed a single cell. Take, for example, the "valonia ventricosa". It looks like the traditional cell and scientists have dissected and located the anatomy expected with a cell. I also found out that single-cell organisms aren't actually "Creatures", but cells with "Creature-Like" capabilities, such as moving around. It honestly is crazy when you look into it.

I know, right? Shocked me too! In a world of Aggron, Steelix, Duraludon and literal gods... A pointy tin can is the heaviest! There are also only 6 pokemon (Some are mega forms) that are heavier than Mudsdale... Pokémon weights are crazy!
