Well, there is some incorrect facts in this video: - It wasn't "all of Stockholms cash", it was around 39 million SEK, most of it from two different banks (SEB and Swedbank, if I remember correctly) according to the preliminary investigation (which is a public act in Sweden). - It is clear who did the heist, 7 men are convicted for it. What might be unclear is IF there was more people involved and if they had financial backing. - It was not carried out at 5pm, It was 5 in the morning. - The cash depot is not downtown, it is in Västberga industrial area outside of town - they did not "rope themselves down", they used a 8,9 meter tall ladder. - They did not "blast themselves through to the vault". They didn't even go for the vault, they only went for the "uppräkningscentral" (like cash counting central). It is another part of the building. - They did not steal a police helicopter. The helicopter they stole was a civil transportation helicopter from a private company outside of Stockholm, not from a police helicopter base. - I can't find any supporting evidence that the unidentified object outside the police hangar had “Bomb” written on it in the Preliminary investigation, - It did not take 20 min until they left the building, it took 13 min. - Bornholm is not a part of Sweden.

7 years is the sentence. But everyone get out after 2/3 as long as they don't do anything really stupid - like murdering someone in prison. But the information in this video seems to be incorrect. Two convicted recieved 8 years in prison and another on 4 years. And the police in Sweden was warned about this robbery - the Serbian police had warned them that former serbian police where plaining a heist in Stockholm.

The Swedish prosecution said it received a report from the Serbian police last August that a helicopter robbery was being prepared and millions of euros were stolen. The defendants turned their attention to Serbian police as they unsuccessfully tried to hire a helicopter pilot in Serbia and subsequently hired one in Sweden, the prosecution said. Police Minister of Serbia Ivica Dacic said at the time that "the BIA ( serbian inteligence ) had informed the Swedes at the beginning of September that they were planning a 'robbery of the century' in Stockholm, but that they did not take it seriously."

Okay hold up, there are a lot of things wrong here. Firstly, Stockholm wasn't enjoying a nice quiet day, the city was asleep. It happened in the early morning at around 5 AM. Secondly, they did not steal a Police helicopter... It was from a flight school outside Stockholm. And lastly. "How All of Stockholm's Money Got Stolen?". I don't know if it's clickbait or it's just stupidity to actually think that 39 million swedish crowns (less than 5 million dollars) had even the slightest impact on the economy or the ATM's in Stockholm. It's not a village... There was no warning about running out of money at all. It's wasn't even the biggest heist in Stockholm that decade (see: Arlanda robbery). There is no real uncertainty about the loot even. Also, the convicted guys are not unknown, their names were widely publicized, except like two. Love the channel! But this was a little sloppy.
@Thedisastermaster9
@Thedisastermaster9 4 жыл бұрын
He says that in the video. Also you gotta imagine that a Heist of this size had support, getaway drivers, money launderers, people involved in procurement of all of the supplies. And two of the actual robbers remain unknown. Also the government never released a solid number so that's speculation.

Just a small correction, at 0:58. The building was not in downtown, but in Västberga, an industrial area located in the southern suburban parts of Stockholm. This is not considered to be part of downtown Stockholm by anyone familiar with the area, so naming it as such is a bit too sensational. Other than that, props on a well researched video on a topic rarely covered outside of Sweden 👍🏻

You forgot to mention the best part! What made this robbery so spectacular was the fact that the police knew that the robbery was gonna happen at that time and place for a long time. And on top of that the robbers learned, just two weeks in advance, that the police knew what they were up too. Yet they carried on with the plan and succeeded. With help of the fake bombs, hostages inside the building and other tricks . That's pretty cold.

Some say that they did not get as much as media say or that we think, the reason for this is that they where in the money room for a rater short time short time and that they dumped over the money from neatly packed boxes to rather small bags that gave the bags a larger volume. The Bell 206 Jet Ranger have two seats in the front and four in the back, the pilot did stay in the helicopter and one on the roof so he could lift up the money, and there was three of them breaking in, so they had only one seat free and some floor space for the money, for some few individuals this can be much, but most ATM had money in rather low values like 20, 50 and 100 Swedish krona and not so much of 500 and 1000 SEK. Why there was a lack of money after the robbery was due to the investigation that made it impossible to remove money from the vault, not for all the money was taken, even if they had been able to take only money with the highest value it had not been so much that it had affected the economy. But some few years later Sweden got new money and if they had not been able to laundry the money within that period they had no gain from the robbery at all.
