Back in the late 90's, my friends and I were building 10k RPM small block Chevys all the time. The trick is in the balancing. We would buy pistons, rods, pins, and rod caps 16-24 at a time. We would match the closest 8 in weight. Then, we would remove material so each component perfectly matched the lightest component, down to the grain. We would then take everything down to a local machine shop that had customized their crank balancing machine to spin at 3,000 RPM rather than the standard 500 RPM. In the end, we'd had a high revving small block Chevy without paying an arm and a leg. It was just sweat equity, but well worth it. The sound of a 454 revving to 10k RPM on pump gas is just amazing.

This the type of car that you spend years finishing just to break down in tears when it’s finished and keep it in your fam for generations

Just wanted to say again, I appreciate the editors so much. Smooth transitions all day, every day, and you always use the car being featured for the intro on B2B. We notice you, and we appreciate you.

I’m not a GM guy, damn this is a build according to my own heart!!! Riley knows what the hell he is doing!!! All about function. This is a car built to be driven to it’s absolute limits!!! You will shit yourself way before you even get close. That is what evo calls a real car. Riley, I salute you. You know your shit, and you laid everything on the line to prove it. And you did with flying colors. I’m not a GM guy, but I know something good when I see it, this is as good as it gets, I want one.

He might be totally different host than james but as you can see he has the same passion and love for what he's doing. And most of us are here because of one thing and that's the love for cars, so from one car nerd to another let us just support one another.
