30 years in business and in this is by far one of the best Illustrated videos I've ever seen. No bullshit, no politics, or opinions, just mechanics and operating principles. For those that cannot understand that "M16" is only U.S. nomenclature don't waste your time on them. Like I always say, I'm not your pa, it's not my job to educate you in the ways of the world...

"M-16" is a US military designation for the Colt AR-15 Model 602. The gun in the video is an M4A1, which is not the same as the original ArmaLite AR-15 said in the title.

@@hoppinggnomethe4154 You maybe the lone exception to my comment about little kids who want to debate semantics. When I was active duty, I visited a lot of brothels. There's a good chance your mother and I met and you could be my son. Tell me what year and city you were born in I'll try to narrow it down.

Love the Animation very good job. I do have issue with one thing: An AR-15 is not a select fire Rifle. It is a Semi Auto only. This Animation is for an M-16/M-4 Military Weapon. This is what the Gun Grabbers want people to believe.

OK, I thought we were talking about the AR-15. Manufactured by Armalite and then Colt. The M-16 was fully automatic and it was the military version of the weapon. That still does not make it an AR-15.
@wesjones6370
@wesjones6370 6 жыл бұрын
Yes, Armalite DID make a select fire AR. The very first AR15s they made were select fire. They were designed for testing for the US army as an assault rifle to replace the M14. They absolutely were select fire. It wasn't until Colt purchased the patents that they manufactured the select fire models as the army designated M16, and developed the semi auto version labeled AR15. The patent has been up for years now. Anyone can make an AR...and there are select fire variants. The AR15 is a military weapon. It was designed for the military, and manufactured as such. The civilian line was sold by Colt to market it to law enforcement as well. It is hilarious how much American's deny this....but it is beyond me as to why.

ArmaLite AR-15 Select Fire Works - THIS IS NOT THE CIVILIAN VERSION!..... Than you should have called it M16 rifle. For NO AR-15 rifle sold to civilians is capable of firing full auto. Only semi, one round per trigger pull. Oh yes the first experimentals that did fire full auto were called AR-15s. But Colt bought out ArmaLite and change the name to M16s for the military and AR-15s for civilians.

i have been living in a lie. please explain; i always thought the semi automatic means that it can fire as long as you hold the trigger. I just saw a video where its explained that semi auto means that you can fire the weapon with only squeezing the trigger. no extra action needed, the weapon will fire again if you squeeze the trigger. while here the semi mode means it will fire as long as you hold the weapon. so semi automatic has nothing to do with the semi function on these rifles?
@HG-jy3bl

CSOCSO Your "always thought" is not correct. Semi automatic means one bullet per trigger pull. Full automatic means the weapon keeps firing as long as the trigger is held down and there is ammunition. The switch sets the modes (including one for safe mode).
