It all comes back to subduction and mantle flow. The milling of the granite occurred between fractured tectonic plates and the motion came from mantle flow. Continents not only crashing together, but moving up and down and rubbing together, all while it was covered in water. That provided water velocity and an almost perpetual pumping motion and thus gave us the megasequences. Love the research of these amazing men.

The best explanation I've heard for the grand canyon not only includes a global flood but later, according to native legend, a massive lake emptied out forming the grand canyon in days not millions of years. Arent there giant strata layers completely flipped upside down? Massive water flipping it after layers were hardened could do that.

All of the features you discuss are perfectly consistent with deposition and erosion by rivers over millions of years. For example The Mississippi river is today delivering sediment from the Rockies to the Gulf of Mexico, a comparable distance to what you discussed.

@howardf5264
@howardf5264 4 жыл бұрын
@@jb0433628 First, you do not give credit to Lawrence Sloss who developed the concept of megasequences in 1963. This is nothing new. But you also fail to mention that the unconformities at the bases of Sloss Sequences commonly have widespread erosion that looks like river erosion, and the sediments that fill the incisions look like river sediments. And those ancient rivers were perfectly capable of transporting sediment long distances, as discussed in the video. It is the sediment at the base of Sloss Sequences that is typically transported the longest distances.
@jb0433628
@jb0433628 4 жыл бұрын
@@howardf5264 I didn't know that, however I don't see what it changes, the main point is rivers would be unable to blanket a continent with a uniform sediment layer like what is observed with these mega-sequences. I guess the softer parts of the granite would have eroded faster to form such rivers. I really don't see any satisfying explanation out there apart from the continent being underwater, I mean these sequences are filled with marine fossils there's no other option here.
@howardf5264
@howardf5264 4 жыл бұрын
@@jb0433628 No one is suggesting that the deposits are not mostly marine, just not at the base. All the features they describe of the sediments at the base (Tapeats Sandstone) are consistent with rivers. Water velocities of several m/s, grains transported from the Great Lakes region (7:50), and scouring granite. All of this is consistent with a river system over millions of years, followed by flooding. Sloss interpreted the unconformity at the base of each Sequence as formed by low sealevel and long periods of erosion, commonly with strong evidence of rivers, followed by marine flooding of nearly the entire continent. Thus each Sloss Sequence records rising, and then falling sealevel. They even state that the succession from sandstone to shale represent rising sealevel. We sea this sort of evidence of rising sealeve at the base of each Sloss Sequence. But of course, you need low sealevel to explain the unconformties that are commonly covered by sediments that look just like river sediments and lack marine fossils. And this concept of unconformity-bounded sequences has been further developed by petroleum geologists into a systems called Sequence Stratigraphy, in which each Sloss Sequence is divided into many small-scale, or high-frequency sequences, and commonly with evidence of smaller rivers scouring the bases. This is the dominant approach to stratigraphy today. But what really upsets me is, not just the ignoring of so much evidence, but that many YEC's have embraced these Mega Sequences without once giving credit to the man that figured it all out. They just use his work without attribution. Creationists did not figure this out, geologists did nearly 50 years ago.

When we look at the many horizontal layers that we find everywhere on our planet, we clearly see the effect of a repeating cataclysm. These disasters are mentioned in ancient books like the Mahabharata from India and the Popol Vuh from the Mayans and others. They tell us about a cycle of seven disasters. Certainly, a cycle of regularly recurring global disasters cannot be caused by asteroid impacts or volcanic eruptions. These disasters cause a huge tidal wave of seawater that washes over land "above the highest mountains." At the end it covers the earth with a layer of wet mud, a mixture of sand, clay, lime, shale, fossils of marine and land animals and small and larger meteorites. Five layers are created in 25000+ years. These disasters also create a cycle of civilizations. The only possible cause is another celestial body, a planet, orbiting our sun in an eccentric orbit. Then it is close to the sun for a short period and after the crossing at a very high speed it disappears into the universe for a long time. To learn much more about the recurring flood cycle and its timeline, the re-creation of civilizations and ancient high technology, read the e-book: "Planet 9 = Nibiru". It can be read on any computer, tablet or smartphone. Search: invisible nibiru 9

There are 2 groups & only 2 groups of people in this world. One side lives "by faith" believing that The Word of God is true. "For since creation GOD'S invisible qualities (His eternal power & divine nature) can be clearly seen and understood from what HE has created". These two men in this video show some of the evidence that can be clearly seen & explain clearly how it was formed. The other side lives "by faith" believing that their theories in evolution & long ages are true. Some (not all) of their theories can be tested in a lab & when theories that can be tested are tested, they come up blank. This forces them to come up w/a new theory as to why their original theory when tested drew a blank. Each individual must decide which side they are on. There is no fence sitting on the question of "Who is telling the truth... GOD or man" ????? Time is very short & people must now decide. As for myself I believe The True & Living God of Jacob, The Creator of heaven & earth & everything in it, & this world mocks me as a fool for believing Him. So be it. Our Savior & Lord said it would be so because 2000 yrs. ago the world mocked Him first. As always thanks for doing these videos & giving GOD the glory. Both The FATHER & The Son are worthy to be praised forever.

One correction, you unintentionally I am sure, neglect to mention the indwelling Holy Spirit who knows all things, reveals all things and searches all things, including the mind of God. It is by Him, the third person of the trinity, that develops our faith in things unseen and is him that leads us out of the world and connects us to the things of God. Just as it was Abraham's servent that developed Rebecca's faith in Isaac while he was yet unsee. christ is calling out a bride for himself through the holy spirit, who does not speak of himself, but promises all things and fulfills all things in christ Jesus and it is the holy spirit that comforts and gives good gifts, while we are yet far away from our eternal home. We praise and worship the undivided, indivisible holy trinity, father, son, holy spirit.

You can cure cement in 5 seconds using a hydrolic press. This technique is now commonly used in construction. Now imagine a mountain worth of sedment pressing down saturated with water. Cementation would be instant as soon as the soil settles. Also, the ancient technique of making cement last for hundreds of years that's now becoming more commonly used again today is to add sea water or salt water to your quick lime. All these elements are available in the big flood. Not all sedimentary layers have cementating chemicals intermixed however. These certain rock layers become crumbly once exposed to air.

@@logicalatheist1065 - *GLOBAL FLOOD EVIDENCE* *1) Surface Deposits of Fine-Grained Basalt* - There are non-vesicular basalt deposits on the surface of every continent in the world. An example of "Vesicles" are the holes in lava rock which are from gases escaping as the lava cools. The only place on Earth that non-vesicular basalt is forming today is at the bottoms of the oceans. Why?? *Because to get fully non-vesicular basalt, it must be extruded under **_AT LEAST 9,800 FEET OF WATER._* Non-vesicular basalt deposits on the surfaces of all the world's continents is evidence that *all the world's continents* were at one point covered by at least 9,800 feet of water! By the way, those basalt deposits are demonstrably YOUNG and *cannot be more than several thousands of years old,* as indicated by their *obvious LACK OF EROSION.* *2) Topsoil* - The Global Flood happened in 2345 BC, so around 4,400 years ago. An interesting time-frame corroboration is *topsoil.* Based on global averages, it takes around *500 years to form one inch of topsoil.* The global average amount of topsoil extant today is *9 inches.* Therefore *ALL of the world's topsoil was created in the last ~4500 years... a significant proof since all topsoil would have been scoured away by the Flood.* *3) Petrified Pine Cones* - The Global Flood was a *one-time event* that happened in the *Springtime* of the year 2345 BC. Petrified pine cones confirm both of these claims. All fossilization and petrification occurred during the Global Flood. We can confidently say this because there are very specific requirements for the lithification of organisms; these requirements are Super-Saturated Water, High Temperatures, and High Pressures. During the Global Flood was the only time in history that the environment was right for fossilization/Petrification. Petrified pine cones have been found all over the world, but no one has ever found one that was OPEN. All have been CLOSED with SEEDS still inside. This means that the petrification process began during a very limited stage of development, which could only have been in the Springtime. Since we have never found an open petrified pine cone anywhere on Earth, but have found closed petrified pine cones worldwide, we can know that they are the product of a *SINGULAR WORLDWIDE EVENT that began in the SPRINGTIME.* Again, this could only have been produced by the *Noah's Flood.*

A simplistic overview that doesn’t do justice to the evidence or the biblical story. The biblical timeline based on genealogies and actual timeline going back to the Exodus, the Abrahamic move to Canaan and Egypt etc etc puts the flood of Noah ca. 2350 BC. This is 200 years AFTER the Giza pyramids were built and the body of the Sphinx was scoured by torrential rain. It coincides with the time of pharaoh Unas and the end of the Egyptian 5th dynasty and the beginning of the 6th where the Fayam Depression filled naturally with water and the pharaoh built a causeway covered by huge blocks to make the nearly 1 kilometre journey protected from the elements. The Giza Plateaux underlies the pyramids with hundreds of metres of the Mocattam Formation, which is a marine limestone complete with fossils. The pyramids are NOT build on basement, granite or otherwise, as would have been the case if the argument in this video had any validity. Jericho is 8,000 years old on sediments in the Jordan portion of the Afro-Syrian rift and the burnt layer corresponding with the Joshua lead destruction of the 16th century BC has been mapped and sits where you would expect to find it in the total history of the city. Furthermore, the flood cities of the Bible in lower Mesopotamia (Sumer) are metres from the current day surface and NOWHERE near basement (kilometres below the oil bearing strata) where you would expect to find them if the picture painted here was correct. This is psuedo geology with no basis in fact for the biblical flood which has been determined by tree ring analysis to be on or near the present day surface in 2,350 BC in line with the biblical dating.

I love that people take partial truths and try to run with them. Does everything take millions of years to happen? No we know there are one offs, but if you look at all of the evidence it shows that there was no global flood. Noah’s ark is just a story like little red riding hood. It is a nice story that helps teach a lesson like all the other parables in the Bible. If you have to ignore things like radiometric dating, or the fact that there have been over 8,700,000 land fairing species. If the story of the ark is true that means Noah would have had to figure out how to fit 17,400,000 life forms into a space of 150,000 square feet. That 150,000 feet is being generous with the size of available space. It doesn’t take bulkheads, flooring, extra space for the fences of each coral. On top of that a global flood would kill all plant life. So Noah would have had to have gathered seeds of every plant in existence. He would also have to figure out what to do with all of the life forms that live in the waters of Earth. With only a few exceptions salt water animals need salt water. They would die in fresh water. The same for fresh water fish. A global flood would merge all of the water. Furthermore as we can demonstrate with water aquifers now, once the water becomes contaminated there isn’t much you can do. The resulting brackish water would be unsuitable for humans to drink. It could eventually be fixed, but not in the three days humans can go without fresh water. Lastly as we can see today trees don’t do so well when they are underwater. More often than not the tree dies very quickly. The exception being something like mangroves. An olive tree wouldn’t have survived let alone still have its leaves. It really is high time that people recognize that the Bible isn’t a fact based history book. In fact several of the Bible’s references to real people and places don’t add up with known history. The dates of the censuses Augustis Caesar ordered don’t match the story of the nativity. Furthermore no Roman census ever required people to return to the place of their birth. Listen spiritualism isn’t inherently bad. In fact it helps a lot of people cope with the stress of day to day life. What is bad is when misinformation is spread, or science rejected because it undermines people’s faith in the Bible. The people today who insist the Bible is true are the same type of people who charged Galileo Galilei with heresy for saying and proving that the Earth revolves around the sun, not the other way around. Earth was never the center of the universe. So all this being said. If you need spiritualism in your life to deal with day to day life more power to you, but stop posting half truth pseudoscience as fact. As well as keeping religion out of our classrooms. Save it for Bible study.

Michael, all of your concerns about a global flood are legitimate concerns but they have also all been addressed, scientifically. For example, Noah did not need to take 2 of every species on the Ark. He had to take 2 of every "type". So a type is like the dog type. He did not need to take every species of dog, but he probably took a wolf and all the existing dog species were descendant from that one pair of wolves. That would leave much more room on the Ark.
@Momoneymmiproblems
@Momoneymmiproblems 2 жыл бұрын
@@markhastings9037 even with that he wouldn’t have room. You can try to make the story make sense but will always fail because it is a made up story. PS. There are 7.77 million different land species. Even if you break that down to just common species you would need room for just over 2 million. That doesn’t include plants that can’t grow under water, or fish that couldn’t survive freshwater, or salt water as the oceans of the world connected during a global flood. We know the size of the ark of it existed. It doesn’t come anywhere near the size it would need to be to accomplish what it was built for. This is of course ignoring the next huge issue of the Bible. The near constant incest. Daughters getting their fathers drunk so they can have sex. Everyone on earth evolving from a single couple twice. Inbreeding is never a good thing.

There were many global floods after the last ice age, but they were in different parts of the world at different times. The thing is, the writers would not know about the other floods as they were on different continents. The animals that Noah got were local animals and NOT world wide. The Noah flood was only in the Mediterranean basin.

Not global floods like you call them and then say they happened in different parts of the world. (which is it ? global flood or they happened in different parts of the world)Your argument falls apart the second you open your mouth. The writers did write about a flood , the global flood. Each civilization in the world reports of a global flood. Humans know when catastrophes happened on the planet.

The same sedimentary features are observed on continents across the entire globe. The physical evidence demonstrates material being transported and deposited in unimaginable quantities intercontinentally. The assertion that a series of small, local floods can explain these identical features is absurd in light of the evidence. There is scant physical evidence to support multiple ice age events, the preponderance of the evidence points to a single ice age event taking place after the deposition of the global sedimentary features we see were in place. The ice age was the result of the global flood and did not extend to many parts of the globe so it could not have influenced the features we observe in those places, like the grand canyon and Australia for example. Noah didn't 'get' any animals. The animals on the ark came there as called by God. Have you yet made up a natural explanation for the orderly migration of opposite sex, wild animals coming in pairs to a man made structure and coralling themselves in pens for days before the "local" flood even began? Because I just witnessed how dogs react to the sound of a firecracker and can tell you there is no natural way this could happen. groups of animals or people in fear stampede, that's nature. In a local flood, why would naoh need to gather any animals, or spend decades building an ark when he could have simply traveled away from the danger to higher ground like people and animals do now to escape local Catastrophe. I don't think you've thought your opinions through, much less the works of God.

@@leroybrown9143 its only absurd if one assumes the continents were separated at the time of such an event. If they were then we should see similar layers on the ocean floor as well, since theres no reason to think global scale deposition would be confined to the continents. Indeed we do see similar patterns, but only localised to continental margins. The further one gets away from land, the more different the strata becomes with many of these layers just not existing at all. If the continents were connected at the time of deposition then that would easily explain the relative uniformity. Then however it gets very difficult to explain how the continents could have moved so much in such a short period of time. Walt brown tries to explain this, but the heat and energies released would have boiled any life left on the planet and stripped the atmosphere.
