I’m a Navy MA and my god, the amount of times people exaggerate stories is wild. Had a partner that described our traffic stop like we stopped terrorism and talking all this badass shit. Meanwhile I’m here like, “We gave this guy a citation for speeding...”

I found a german shepard running in traffic on base. I fed it a few mcdoubles i had in my cargo pocket and made a leash out of some 550 cord. I was chilling with the dog feeding it mcdonalds when a patrol car pulled up and asked for thier dog back. It was a bomb dog that escaped the MP station and they blamed me for ruining the dogs special diet lol

Hahaha bomb dogs tend to be laid back in my experience. It was always funny going to the kennels. Bomb dogs are leaning against the doors waiting for someone to pet them and bite/multi purpose dogs are going ballistics bouncing around ready to kill a mofo

It did stare me down a little like it knew i had something in my pocket and being such a big dog i was basically throwing down like "here, take it!" Like it was confiscating contraband lol. It moved on me like red riding hood with that damn goodie basket. Like "take the mcdonalds, just dont hurt me" lol

Maritime law enforcement specialists can either be stationed at a coast guard base (they'd fall under the coast guards land law enforcement component, the Coast Guard Police.) Or they can be stationed on a cutter or ship and they would fall under Maritime Law Enforcement which is the Coast Guards maritime/on-the-water law enforcement element. So no, MA's do not exist in the Coast Guard.
