What an interesting topic. I wonder if you really need all pieces of the pie or you need them to all be 100%? It probably is somewhat on a person by person basis.

Cass, I have been listening to you since covid started, and you have greatly enfluenced my ideas of how to look at my home and organization. I was sad to hear that you do not feel spiritual. Having a relationship with Christ has added so much peace and hope to my life. You are always challenging us, so I challenge you to learn more about Jesus and how much he cares for you❤

I love clutterbug cass! You are my hero! when I heard you were Like me (ADHD) I knew I loved your channel! I am a new believer…. Jesus has taught me that I can’t handle the troubles of my life on my own… A lot of people think they are their own little Gods walking around who can fix their own problems, etc. I’m so glad that I found Jesus! I never believed and thought Christians were crazy. Lol 😅 I pray that you will open your heart to Jesus. I love you no matter what, but I pray that your heart softens to the idea of who Jesus is. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I agree, I was saddened too. You may not realize it, Cass, but God has been seeking you... He has placed people in your life, He has given you gifts of understanding how people organize, and He's loved you and known you before you were born. You need only seek Him with a sincere heart. Just ask Him that "if He's real" to reveal Himself to you, and that's a prayer that will be answered in His time and in His way. God doesn't do things our way or how we think we want Him to, but I can promise you He will answer that prayer. Much love to you, Cass! Praying for you and your needs.

I am not religious, but I am spiritual...meaning, when I go to this favorite creek, I feel something that renews me. When I hear some music, I feel contented and refreshed. Spirit the word is connected to the word "inspire" and words that mean "breath."

Here's a spiritual option you might like. I consider myself a "Humanist". I believe in love, caring about others, and wanting the best for all. I believe this is the only way we will survive as a species, and it brings the greatest happiness and security in life. That doesn't mean I only have good thoughts and do good deeds. But it is my attitude, and I try and let it guide me.

Throat punching moments made me laugh so hard 😂😂 It’s ok to be a 0 or 1 in the spiritual area…..It’s not for everyone. You are a good person, kind and more importantly, you are respectful of the people’s beliefs. I’m not religious at all but I’m ok with that. I have friends who are and that’s great for them. We are respectful of each others beliefs. We have peace, love, happiness etc in our lives, without needing religion or spirituality. And it sounds like you do too❤ What a great podcast episode Cas❤️🇦🇺

I'm sitting down to try this. Thanks, Cass. BTW, when several miracles have happened in my family's life (a big one in my own!), faith becomes the #1 piece of the pie. Jesus has given everything else a meaning and depth that was impossible before I knew Him. I respect your respectful and open discussion of this topic and I hope you keep exploring this part of your life. You just might be pleasantly surprised like I was.😊

Thank you for opening up to us. There is hope in having Jesus in my life. Please look up John 3:16,17 in the Bible. By HIS Grace, we are saved. There is another life after this earthly one. Everlasting life in Heaven. Having the Lord fill in that empty space, can bring peace. I appreciate your wonderful decluttering & organizing videos. They have helped me. Peace be with you. I look forward to more.

Cas, honestly, I stopped your podcast when you were discussing your spirituality and prayed for you right then and there. I lifted up your name to Jesus that you may know the joy and love of God in your life. He has blessed you so much with a loving family and contentment in your work that you do so joyfully. He is the Creator of the universe, and there will be so much life after death, whether it's in heaven with God or separated forever from God. We have this life on earth to decide about where we will be in eternity. Please reach out to me if you would like to chat about this, I would love to do that! We are God's special creation, and He loves you so very much!

I agree with the ones that have talked about what you call spirituality. In your self help journey please read the book of John in the Bible. You can google it and Biblegateway should come up. That is a great place to check it out. I will have to tell you that Jesus has changed my life. I know He can work on the spiritual part for you as well. I so love your podcast and other videos. Cas - thanks for your honesty about your feelings on spirituality. This is why I love listening to you. You are real!! I always struggle with the spirituality aspect in these “pie” exercises as well. I agree with everything you said in ALL parts of this podcast, especially the spirituality part. You knew this would open you up to criticism and “advice” from people who feel strongly in another way yet you were real and didn’t shy away from the topic! Bravo!!

Cass, thank you for your honesty throughout this podcast. It was like listening to my younger self in so many ways. Having done this pie chart over 20 years ago, I found that if I put spiritual (God and Jesus Christ) as my number one priority, then the rest of the pie pieces strengthens without much effort. Prior to putting God first and using my own free will vs His will, I was always struggling on the other pieces. P.S. You are divinely created, beautiful, one of a kind and God loves you very much. You are not nor ever were worm food!!! You were made in the image of God!! You're in my prayers. Much Love!! Barbara

My question is who should decide the contents of my " pizza" and even how big the "slices" should be? What if I was a person who just did not care about one or more of the categories? It seems to me, that for some people, doing this exercise might make them feel less balanced than they really are, because the categories don't make sense for their lifestyle, stage of life, or personality. Interesting discussion, but it raises many questions. Just like with the "spiritual" piece for you, if you don't feel you need to be spiritual, then is it a 0 or a 10, because you are fine with it? If you are content, then it's a 10, but maybe the pie pieces shouldn't even be there on your personal chart.

Absolutely wonderful conversation. So thoughtful, insightful and thought-provoking. Thank you, Cass, for so openly sharing. You are lovely. I am not religious either. But if one looks at spirituality beyond religiousness to more like a purpose in life greater than oneself, it could almost be connected with the community and family slices of the pie.

Interesting podcast about how we view our life. I think our wheel of life changes as we grow and change. My life has changed so many times over the years that I’m happy with myself because the changes made me grow more comfortable and confident in myself. What’s great about life is if you want to change something in your life you can. I try to grow everyday and learn something new everyday.

This was interesting. The comments are interesting. I think if something that was a "slice of this pie", doesn't apply, then leave it out. It's a guideline, not a hard fact. Maybe a slice of YOUR pie is anger management, being a more positive person, trying to be present in the moment....you see what I'm saying? Fun and recreation can look completely different to everyone. What's fun for you is not necessarily fun for me. And don't push religion onto people who have said they aren't religious. My gosh. Your miracles and scripture quotes aren't going to magically change someone else's thought process on the matter. Just fill your slice in.

Love your honesty and your willingness to let us into your thought processes. I really appreciate that you walk us through how to view this kind of pie chart. I tried to do this many years ago but was clueless on how to pick what level I was at in each category. You have nicely simplified how one can look at the different aspects of ones life. I think there will always be an ebb and flow in our lives.

Dear Cass, I am new to this platform. I found you through watching a video of Dawn the minimal mom who has helped me immensely start to declutter my home and I've listened to a couple of your podcasts which where very interesting. I am a 68-year old woman from the UK and I found Jesus to be very real when I was age 32 and he is very definitely the best thing that has ever happened to me. Please make a date to speak with your friend Dawn either in person if you live nearby or on zoom if necessary, she will be able to help you and guide you into a relationship with Him. It's really not about religion.....that is no good to anyone. Its a relationship we need. Perhaps ask Dawn to research and recommend a good local church for you to visit this Easter. Praying God's richest blessings on you and your family Margaret xx xx

My dear Aunt said to me once she didn’t need all that spiritual stuff to be happy like I do, which I found profound in a way. Spiritually found me as a child before I knew what it was, my heart was set on knowing who God was. Today I am blessed to work daily with Angels, they show their lights to me and communicate with me (if people are real close to me emotionally, sometimes they will see them with me, which shocks them 😂) You don’t have to work at being spiritual, you are a spiritual being and from what I can see your spirit shines very brightly through you already. I’d give your spiritual zone at least an 8. If you want to have a relationship with God the Angels or loving spirit just start talking to them, they will do everything they can to let you know they are there, but either way they are there, loving you and helping in any way they can ❤❤❤love you Cass

Cass Loved this conversation thank you for sharing this is something very neat to think about . You have been such a huge blessing in my life your tips, ideas and tricks are making my home feel like a home and a place I want to be again thank you so much! It was “life changing” to quote you lol when I figured out my husband was a butterfly and not just leaving stuff out as disrespectful or because he didn’t care to help!!I love that you make me laugh… literally out loud 😂Learning is def exciting I’m currently learning so much from you and the minimal mom, considering starting a business In organization as I literally love this and the impact it has on not only our homes but our lives. Thank you for that. I love to hear people’s stories and background on their beliefs. Thank you for sharing. It’s interesting to me how we all come to our beliefs with the background we have in the homes we grew up and things we have experienced in life. The biggest life change I ever experienced was learning more about Jesus Christ and accepting Him for myself, walking daily in his Word and allowing it to change me from the inside out. I’m def still a work in progress lol as we all are during our life. I love to learn more about Him and His word. Even other religions and history acknowledged that he came and lived, I loved learning that I didnt have to throw my brains in the trash to believe in Jesus and God. I’m a science based person too, a registered nurse and have always loved science. It’s fascinating to study. I would encourage you in your learning pie slice to learn about Jesus. With saying your not really sure what being spiritual is it might be interesting to learn more about it. (If you choose of course) I don’t really claim to be “spiritual or religious “ as much as I just have a relationship with Jesus. No legality in it. My favorite lesson I ever hear on Jesus was from Chip Ingram, a pastor in the US he goes through history of Jesus. I wish you the best in all you life and your studies whatever you choose to study. As a person who truly cares for you I pray you consider hearing about him. God bless you and your family! Can’t wait for more videos on your new home! So exciting for you guys!

Great podcast topic! Would love a podcast on what you think about different productivity, time-management, planner methods. For example, I seen some people use theme days like Saturday- chores and Friday- self-care or theme meals: Saturday- pizza and Tuesday- tacos. I also seen people divide the day into three or four time blocks or routines like morning, afternoon, evening, and night. Some use a daily planner/list and other just a weekly list. JashiiCorrin on her channel has ideas like a self-care bingo. Maybe some people are just not planners and only need a monthly calendar. There is also the pomodoro timer method. Do you think these different methods like theme days, daily or weekly lists, hourly schedules, routines, bingo, or just a calendar work for different personalities? Thanks!

Of course we would have to do it through texting or actual phone calls! I could feel how much you would be in wonder and in awe ❤. It could be one time or once a week for a few minutes or I would gladly get up during the middle of the night to spend together and especially at the 3’o’ clock holy hour. The peace the body feels and receives is simply amazing… no more words because there’s nothing worse than someone pushing something down your throat lol. I am slowly getting more balance across the board. I liked the idea of the wheel of life and the various segments as a map to help hone in on where I might be lacking attention. I’m reasonably happy with home environment, work, finances, health and my marriage (about a 7 - some throat punching thoughts too) but I’m not there on friends/ family, community and learning. I’m also not spiritual, but maybe my pie slice could be self-awareness / understanding my place in the world / the direction of my life. Is there one word for that? 😆

As for hobbies, how’s your zombie book going? I recommend for fun reads re writing skills hero’s journey and virgins promise. Both are story structures which if you are a fan of learning may actually be fun, a hobby and a good book curled up in bed! As for me and my wheel at the moment I am using the three burner method for thinking about my roles. I’m adjusting to a new normal of chronic illness and realising for this season I can’t do balance in all sections but must choose what is important for me. Minimalism and your videos have been soooo helpful in getting the home sorted and now I have created some time and energy to think about work and creativity/ contribution. Consider why things happen as they do? Who is really in charge of the universe ? Who made all of this? Who made you and why are you still here ? Positive thinking doesn't always work. We will have ups and downs throughout life. What gets me through is my faith in God. I trust in Jesus and what he did to pay for all of the pain and shame of my actions. I'm not perfect and can never be without that forgiveness. Faith carries me when I cannot see a way through some really tough times. Consider those questions...and maybe you will have a special encounter with God that will bring you closer to him. God loves you. ❤

I'm not sure if I would agree with everything you said. That chart, as I understand it, should show how you feel about something. If I'm absolutely not interested in community and very happy with that, why should I give myself a low score? It's another thing when you think you could do more, or if you feel something is missing. Then a lower score would be justified, because you could improve. The same for spirituality, that's not only religion. I'm an atheist, but I perceive myself as a spiritual person, because there's so much more than religion. I like your podcasts, but I don't declutter while listening, I knit or craft.

I dont think you can have the wheel all balanced.. I think it depends on the person and what state you are in in life right now.. after all.. dont think you could be just happy and fulfilled with everything in a 7 or so.. you have the categories that make you happy and may even expand in other categories as well and even if you have some parts were you lack right now.. maybe it is just not the right season right now.. I would love to do some kind of sports regular at least once a week, but with a small child and work and everything, I just dont manage to fit it in my scedule.. but I am fine with it and I know there will be other times were I will be able to do it.. I just dont want to make myself feel bad because I cant do it right now.. you just cant have everything at once I guess.. the important thing is, are you happy right now and if now.. try to identify whats you are now happy about and see if its possible to change that..

Christian version of karma is reaping what you sow. It is spiritual in a sense like that gut feelings and inside voice can be spiritual as well. I'm a Christian but not religious in the( you better not do this or that, or judging others. It's not my place too). it's just I'm saved and content that I'm saved by what Jesus did and nothing can change that. I do enjoy reading my Bible and learning. Now structure and rules like parenting myself the bible is a good tool . Like lying is bad but every one has told lies but quitting habits that are unhealthy it's for the benefit of the person and makes your life better. Better to not lie than have the guilt of lying on your conscious. Plus I'm a fact seeker and Christianity is full of facts. I used to be religious and scared of what happens if I do this and that especially when I die. I Found truth and now saved and no longer worried about it. I do share the gospel to others every now and then. But telling people to not do this or that in nagging or harassing them nope that's not my place.

That whosoever believeth in HIM should not perish, but have EVERLASTING LIFE." Cass, GOD wants you in Heaven with HIM....but, in order to be with be with HIM....we have a choice to make. CHRIST died for our sins...Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and come short of the GLORY of GOD." There is no one who has not sinned against the LORD CHRIST.....we all have. Romans 5:12 says, "Wherefore as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." You see Cass, our sin has to have a payment...and unless we accept CHRIST'S DEATH on the cross for those sins, then that payment is death....not the physical death ...but, a spiritual death...death in hell. BUT, heres the exciting part...Romans 6:23 says, For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT OF GOD is ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. Cass, it's a free gift...absolutely free...we can't do anything for it....we can't volunteer enough...go to church enough....love enough...give enough to ever pay for this gift....GOD knew this... Because this GIFT....the payment for our sins by the death of JESUS CHRIST was ENOUGH. Cass, HE didn't stay in that grave....HE Rose HIMSELF from that grave in 3 days. HE is in HEAVEN...preparing a place for those who come to HIM..... 1) asking forgiveness for those sins 2) asking HIM to take you to Heaven when you die....and believing HIS PROMISE of ETERNAL LIFE in Heaven. 1 John 5:13 says, These things have I written unto you that believe on the NAME of the SON of GOD, that ye may know that ye have ETERNAL LIFE, and that ye may believe on the NAME of the SON of GOD. And, also John 3:36, "HE that believeth on the SON hath EVERLASTING LIFE: and, he that believeth not the SON shall not see LIFE, but the wrath of GOD abideth on HIM. You see Cass, everyone must make that choice...accept HIS FREE GIFT....ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN....Or, death in hell for those who don't accept HIM. I'll be praying....if I can answer any questions...please let me know.🙂💕🙂

To everybody trying to convince Cass to turn to Jesus: Please respect that she is an atheist! Nobody is trying to convince you to change your religion, so please respect her faith, which is atheism!

No one is disrespecting her! People who have come to know and love Cas, and who care about her, just listened to her explain how she feels about spirituality. If they heard it the way I did, she clearly feels very uncertain about it as a whole and doesn’t seem to even KNOW how she feels for certain. I could be wrong but that’s what I heard. It’s not like she dug her heels and said “I’m an atheist. Leave it alone and keep your Jesus talk to yourself!” That would be different! No one is mocking, judging or condemning her! They are coming from a place of love to share THEIR feelings and experiences! I can’t even count how many times I’ve been mocked and belittled because I DO believe in God. Absolutely no one is shaming or disrespecting her! They are just sharing! If you saw people shaming her for not being a believer, then that would be a different story. But it’s not, so……

OUCH!!! I think... I KNOW I need to finally give-in & go see a Therapist. But.. Where do I start? How do I even go about finding a Therapist who takes my insurance & doesn't charge me a Million Dollars to walk in & say... Hey, My name is Erica. I'm a ClutterBug in The WORST way AND I'm COMPLETELY Unbalanced!!! (UNLESS an Entirely Empty Wheel equals "Balance!") LOL... #Ouch

Well...call your health insurance and ask for a list of therapists in your network. Then call all those and see who is seeing new patience. Then go from there and find one who you connect with. If not found one out of network or who does not work with insurance. Quality services can be expensive. I recomend an NLP practitioner or one who has a certificate in Rapid Transformation Therapy.

You are ok, this wheel and this method is wrong. They make you feel bad, guilty and cost energy instead of giving you motivation and joy.

Cas, it breaks my heart that You don’t know about spiritual things. Things do “come to an end” as you say, but they come to an end according to Biblical prophesies - the world will end according to Biblical prophecy. There absolutely is life after death. Many people set spirituality to the side because the things they don’t understand about the Bible is so overwhelming. Do Bible study rather than trivia. You’re a beautiful person, and who created you inside of the universe that is mammoth and wonderful? GOD. Don’t ever believe that you are just warm food! Salvation is nothing more than working on your relationship with God. I wish I could teach you a Bible study..not just to convert you to religion, but to allow you to know Jesus. To allow you to know the prophecies that give answers to all the questions ❤️

Only under English speaking videos you find this many people speaking about Jesus 😅 People, chill out! Not everyone is religious and not everyone should be. I prefer to take responsibility for my life.

This is the first content I disagree. This wheel is deficit orientated, it will make me feel bad and I will beat me up for several reasons. I work on being content and the easiest way is to be grateful. My partner stays with me? Hurray! I listen to Clutterbug and improve my English? Great! I prefer kind people of religious people. My hobby is watching trash on Netflix, why not? I do no harm to me or others. When people do sport as a profession, there is no balance and it is ok. This wheel is another way to show me where I fail, no thank you. I will fill my calender and cause guilt, no thank you.

This is a just a tool to help understand what areas of your life you might need balance. Its ok to be honest with yourself without beating yourself up. If there are areas that don’t apply to you, just don’t use those. They are a prompt because for most people these different areas apply to them. Everyone has different life goals and priorities.

@@marionhorner8097 is not about need to do more. Is chosing to do more. When we want to change something is not about adding more stuff in our calendar. Something new needs so replace something old. Something needs to give. We arenin control of our lkfe, including our time. We all have the same number of hours in a day. Time managment is priority managment

@@alexandraalbertz1442 we most certainly all do not have the same number of available hours in a day, nor are we in charge of all of our time if we work. We mostly have to work in order to live, if we’re getting on a bit we don’t have the same energy or ability to use our time as when we were younger, if we have caring responsibilities we cannot just reduce those because our life is out of balance. If our days are already full of necessary activities or we need time to rest then there’s nothing that can be moved in order to make room for something different. It is what it is.
