How BMW Became One of The Largest Automakers

There are companies that leave its mark on the entire population and this kind of impact can only be achieved by certain brands. One such brand is the multinational automobile company well known for its luxury sedans, Bayerische Motoren Werke otherwise known as Bavarian Motor Works or BMW.
Did you know the company started out by producing aircraft engines for the German Air Force before manufacturing cars?
During The Second World War, BMW factories were bombed and destroyed, but this did not stop them! They quickly rose from the ashes and inspite of the economic downturn, BMW made their first automobile with a monocoque structure, The BMW 700 series which was an instant success.
The company has witnessed some of the darkest times in European history but has emerged as a strong, stable representative of quality German design and engineering.
