The benefits a particular meditation varies from person to person. Sometimes it may be that you have just started n take time to adjust to it. You may try other types like visualization of some pleasent images or walking meditation ( where you can just walk through nature n feel the sensation of your feet on ground/grass n experience the sensation of walking for 15 to 20 mins). Just try these and see if any of these helps. If you are seeing a doctor, you can ask their suggestions regarding this.
