I think Joseph in the Bible is also INFP. He was so great because Jacob educated him. He was taught and read Egyptian. Despite the misfortune of being sold off to Egypt by his brothers, the education he had in childhood aided him greatly in his journey in life.

Ugh. I don't like this strong gender role stuff and I feel it takes away from the other stuff. I feel like this isn't a science... more a useful and worked through philosophy... but when you add strong gender roles to a protoscience it becomes kind cult like. Do I think it's right. I mean maybe assuming type an infp will probably be with a type with Se and then the observation/action split makes sense... but what about all the male infps?

I submitted to my father because I had no choice. My dad was extremely strict, yelled a lot and did a fair amount of spanking, which was very intimidating for a hyper sensitive INTP. For me being spanked was very in dignifying. This is the reason why a married so late. I didn’t want to be married to a man that would force me to submit and bend the knee, and most being subject to being changed and have my sense of autonomy being taken away. I wanted to be marred to a man whom I can truly trust, especially knowing the man is physically stronger than me, and that he likely has more social prestige.

So… stating that women should read some ‘non-fiction books’ has a bit of a hypocrisy to it coming from someone who quotes the bible a lot. Butttt this’ll probably just get dismissed as me being ‘combative’ or ‘angry’ or whatever word wants to be used because my intuition can see an inconsistency. Question though: Men do have great decision making skills, but why can’t they seem to get out of their own way(pride/ego) sometimes?

I agree with you to a certain extent. If the husband is demanding something completely wrong u can try to use your feminine energy but sometimes the man is so messed up that she ends up dead either way. Just look at the story of the wife of the Pharoah, she was said to be an extremely wise and beautiful obedient woman one of the most amazing women of all time but she still ended up being killed by her husband. At the end of the day god is above everything even above your husband, and sometimes you will be killed despite your efforts it's just life. Lol but yes most men aren't close to the Pharoah so feminine energy does work 99 percent of the time if the guy isn't a psychopath

Well, I don't think it's really that hard for INFP women to act in the way you described if we're with our compatible types which are naturally masculine. Looking at my relationship with an ENTJ, I let him lead most of the time, not because it's my duty, but simply because I can see how firm and responsible he is walking around with his calendar and excel sheets. Plus I enjoy the advisor's role better anyway. Why use words like "submissive" or "secondary", though? This kind of vocabulary is diminishing and implies that woman's input into a relationship is less valuable than her man's.
@jackieschesnuk6669

I as well have always been perplexed by the need for the word ‘submission’ and then it hit me… people that use the word ‘authority’ or ‘submission’ are looking for a hierarchy dynamic where things stay the same. Where as people who use the word ‘receptive’ or ‘cooperative’ are looking for a dynamic that is creative and exploratory. One is stagnation, the other is growth. There’s ‘Spinning your wheels’ or ‘growing in the same garden’.

I get what you mean. The story can get clouded by what seems as value judgement. It probably has to do with how we are conditioned to view these topics. I think in history there were plenty of men that actually thought women to be inferior and then feminism fought against that (and so stayed within that narrative). Now we are really talking about differences between the genders, qualities and weaknesses of both. Who is ultimately the best has nothing to do with it. Men have better judgement and women are better at other stuff. It's up to us to decide that judgement isn't the pinnacle of value (or that it is)

What about men who don't respect the woman's input or perception powers cuz she's not making decisions? cuz as someone from a fairly traditional society, we have a lot of those shitlings here. It leads to verbal, emotional abuse to the woman and eventually makes them feel unloved/unworthy. It's a big problem. My father is like that to my mom. "Authority" doesn't really make sense in a monogamous relationship. Authority is when you're on top of a hierarchy of people, when you're more important than them and can call the shots because they are disposable and you're not. Authority over 1 person makes zero sense because there is no hierarchy with 2 people.

This idea that women are supposed to submit comes from the Bible, but in that same bible it says that both should submit to one another in some sort of mutual relationship. Never does it says that men should practice authority and have all the power over their wives, instead they are ordered to love their wives and to honor them (meaning giving respect), you don't do that by ordering them around as if they are dogs. The husband is simply supposed to be a leader, like in a team, not like a tyranical king over his serfs.

@@rpoutine3271 🎉 Thank you. This is often so forgotten and the wife being submissive to the husband the only thing that’s highlighted. No one wants to blindly submit while the other lives in a world of self-indulgent power trip. ‘Submit’ tends to have an aura of disrespect to it when one contemplates being the one submitting. Just ask men if they’d like to submit (to anyone!). General rule: If you wouldn’t be the person on the other end of the dynamic, why would anyone else want to be in that dynamic?

Hey I love the channel, but I have some concerns with where all this is going. It isn't hard for me to imagine us all living in some version of the Handmaid's Tale or an ultra-strict religious caliphate if we follow this all the way through. Is living under an ultra-repressive extreme of conservatism and an ultra-patriarchal society in reaction to the excesses of modern liberalism worth the cost? I hope that's not actually your intent here, but it is a concern that I have. People currently engaged in the pushback against feminism and the championing of figures such as Andrew Tate might say, "that's not what we're calling for", but are you sure? There's a bigger cultural battle going on here and well-intentioned people are often used by shady forces to bring about dramatic cultural changes not in their interests. It would have been extremely difficult, for instance, for the residents of early 1970s Iran to believe that, by 1979, their modern, Westernised country would have been overtaken by regressive religious extremists - but it happened. This is somewhat predictable, as we can never seem to achieve a happy medium in society, and appear constantly stuck in this cycle: "extreme conservatism is bad, so we have to have extreme liberalism... extreme liberalism which is bad, so we have to have extreme conservatism". The failures of the women's liberation movement to maximize women's happiness and fulfillment certainly deserve acknowledgement and study, but these failures should not be used as a justification to catapult us back the other way and into some sort of extremist repressive caliphate.

You are quite brainless. Submission is the ultimate power because it is a choice. Dominance does not exist without submission. The submissive can always revoke their submission at any point. The dominant cannot enforce submission on anyone. Even if the dominant is able to force the submissive to obey, that is obedience, not submission, without the consent. Submission is power in a fully consensual relationship because you can just think "No i do not agree and I won't do what you want" and you've taken all the dominant's power away.
