I generally agree and prefer that tools should be handle up. However, I was brought up using the classic 5166 pouch and always kept the Channellock’s in the most open position with the handle down to save space. Just found your channel, looking forward to watching more videos!

Thanks! Welcome. I agree with that too I used to always have my channel locks facing down, but when you really start to become a piperunner, or if you're doing industrial or especially if you're bouncing in between crews as a lead trying to help out channel locks get grabed pretty often

Seems pretty slick, I really like the fact that the clip has the cant ability, especially when crouching down to keep your tools from spilling. Im still stuck on my MP2X AND the ProLock.. but this is a nice, readily available, option 👍

I had the older klein pouch i like how the tools fanned out like a deck of cards, but you had to take off your belt to remove it. I tried toughbuilt but for all the reasons you mentioned it just didn't use it. Glad klein made more

yeah good affordable options for sure!

Just grabbed this and moved my stuff over from the toughbuilt 7 pocket tech pouch. The Klein def has more space, the only thing I dont like so far is that there isnt really a small pocket for a inkzall or a precision screwdriver
@toolsandtactics10 ай бұрын
I noticed that, but there is enough slots to stitch or put something inside of 1 to make a pocket
@jfeher53589 ай бұрын
@@toolsandtacticsdef something 3d printed would solve the marker issue. I also noticed the top edges of the belt clip arent as beveled as the toughbuilt, and the hook part of the klein clip can poke you when you hop back in the work truck. The fact that the pouch can rotate is great though thats something I always wanted from TB. The ModBox integration has me looking for a way to slap Modbox Rail on my Packout. I just have this sinking feeling that Im eventually going to get a Veto MP and become addicted to expensive man purses
@toolsandtactics9 ай бұрын
@jfeher5358 the mp2x is a very nice pouch. Everything else from Veto gets boxy bulky and heavy. all very high quality though
@toolsandtactics9 ай бұрын
@jfeher5358 yeah even a backwards old thick sharpie cap might work.

I like the Klein pouch but all you have to do is go read all of the comments on the Lowes website to find out that the clip not only pops off the belt but many reviewers said that theirs broke after a very short duration of use on the job. So I am still sticking with toughbuilt for now. I have the rail on my toolbox as well and for someone that goes from job to job throughout the day it is very convenient.

@@realpatriot5896 i have the Klein Mod Box 6 pocket and 8 pocket… and I also have the drill holster which stays clipped to the side of my Mod Box rails…. I’ve never had the belt holster clip just pop and keep Coming off. I have been in a bind like climbing on top of a rack to a hard to get spot and because of the twisting etc movements I’ve had the Klein clips pop open then but everytime I was putting a weird force on it that isn’t my norm day to day. I use the pouch with 6 slots when I’m running pipe. I use the 8 when I need my Knipex insulated strippers and all my Klein Hybrid 8” inch Lineman’s etc. I like how light they are even loaded to the gills. I use a standard cheap cloth Lowe’s nail apron for my fittings for the size pipe I’m running in the left side of the apron and I use the one on the right for nuts and washers for building strut. People have laughed at me about wearing the nail apron but I don’t care. It serves a great purpose. I have a Klein and ToughBuilt Ditty bag but they weigh me down. I need some suspenders 😂

I have and really like that tough built pouch. The price and build quality is great but I agree with you, it's a brick. It is not flexible at all and the there is no give to the pockets. I still like it but when mine wears out I will definitely give that Klein a look. Thx

Tough built will last 10x longer than Klein

If the bag is to be easily removed from belt and set on a surface it lacks a stand flap in the back.
@toolsandtactics10 ай бұрын
oh yea i could see that i think if that's what your looking for don't get this 1 its more flexible and contours to your body better a stand would make it bulky again

I been using toughbuilt for about 7 years. Only have to replace cus I lost them. They don’t break and keep re using the old clips from the ones I lost

Just wanted to comment that I have bought one of these Klein tool pouches. About one to two months in of almost daily use and it broke at the swivel. Plus the edge of the belt piece kinda digs into my waist. I am not super over weight(5.9 185) but if I was I would say it would be even more uncomfortable. Don’t know if I should buy another one(belt clip) since I still have the pouch or move on to something different.

@user-mc3xm7fx7j fully loading it or just a few minimal tools? Anytime you fully load a quick clip isn't a good idea o have head the tye clips are breaking slam that sh$$ back on the desk at lowes and swap it out idd try that Toughbuilt don't break at the clip

@@toolsandtactics I sometimes would fill it with tools but usually a flat head, cable cutters, utility knife, 8 inch cobras, measuring tape, and a 4 in one. Love the pouch just thought the clip would be more durable.

In the live show you asked if milwaukee has fixed that clip for 12v surge ect... you can go with a bulky noholster or spyder pro pin as an option but the answer your looking for is the clip on the installation driver it's much bigger fits 2nd and 3rd gen m12 impacts. That specific clip is the answer your looking for you can call them up and look for the part number I just stole mine from my m12 installation driver. Good luck! You have to reuse the 4-40 screw or 8-32 that came with your impact

I'm sure there not big enough for you but I use prostar kw2 5 pocket and a knicks pouch. They have chain articulation that let's them lay on the ground when you kneel for sit. For me at least I don't even need to take it off when I get into my driver's seat due to the movement in it. Now if they made one that had more than 5 or 7 pockets (most are 26 to 47) fyi Japanese imports but available on regular az.
