@@mahedihasan4706 Even before Modi it was same situation. So, don't get into Indian politics. I don't know what political spectrum you belong in Bangladesh. But your politics itself is pro-anti India. One party is pro and other is anti-India. Since, the last sentence gives a hint to your ideology. Your side of political spectrum always hated India. Why would we care about it?? We gonna see our interest. We don't care about your democratic process. What we care about is who is in power. This is because of our neighbours itself. So, we don't care about your democracy or your system. Your own people who are in power responsible for it. We are going to support anyone who have power in your country.

The history is repeating itself. More than 2000 years back India had maritime control over the entire South East Asia. Infact most if the SE Asian nations were ruled by dynasties originated on Indian soil. And India achieved this just by using it's soft power. There had been almost no military conflict.

I guess DW reporters and editors need to prove how unintelligent they are before they get hired. India is not only a staunch ally of Russia. India is also member of the China led Brics and Shanghai Cooperation Organization. As a matter the fact India will visit there is good for the Brics. The Indian foreign minister just met the Chinese foreign minister just a few weeks ago in the Brics meeting. The leaders of China and India are going to meet again in South Africa this summer. Unlike the United States Both the leaders of India and China understand that the world is not a zero sum game. This is not competition. We all need to cooperate and work together. The difference between Brics and the G7 is that leaders of the BRICS want to build a multipolar world. The G7 want a Unipolar world with the US as the sole country that gets to have the final say and veto in all import world institutions, the world economy and interfere in the affairs of all other countries. The Brics countries reject a multipolar world. They want a fairer more democratic world in which all nations have a say and all nations have a voice.

Anyone wanna successfully counter China on these Pacific Island Countries has to meet cost of Roads, Bridges, Facilities, hospitals, and trade partnership. Thats what China is doing to improve living standards of these Islanders. Pacific Islanders may see it as positive development while mainstream media label it as debt trap. Using security slogan, defense, and regional organizations/cooperation to counter China is already a lost battle. Bilateral diplomacy maters more for needy national socio-economic development, than regional gathering's with no meaningful outcome. Only Aussie, their big brother and traditional development partner is very respected by these Islanders.

America and uk, your colonial masters are just using india as a pawn for their own purposes, but you are too blind to see that - you should learn from history - think about that.

@@RespectOthers1 Majority of these nations don't need infrastructure like high speed rail as they don't have huge population centres are long distance (the case where high speed rail is needed). Most countries need improvement in the existing basic infrastructure like roads, railways, etc. China is wasting money as most of the countries where China has given loans are hanging with a thin thread of default and balance of payments crisis. That's why all these nations go and beg to IMF for money after they fail to pay debt. Chinan will never get it's money back. The best example is Pakistan.
