Economics is both the problem and the resolution of our present economic and ecological predicaments. Consider that the present economy is incomplete in that it can’t manage certain systemic externalities. It’s fine tuned for consumption and concentration of wealth. Since there are real planetary restraints we need to address those but the economy doesn’t have adequate agency. The resolution is a parallel restorative element with the opposite agency. Please research Carbon Quantitative Easing and the Global Carbon Reward.
