Thanks for waiting for this one. We began production on this episode back in March not knowing what the world would look like in the future and whether any of our interviews or footage would be usable. So major thanks to Supergiant Games for being so open in interviews and for their trust in our vision. The final episode of Hades: Developing Hell will be live shortly after the game reaches it's 1.0 launch. If you've missed any of the older episodes, here's the playlist; kzbin.info/aero/PL-THgg8QnvU4JEVov1tMlFThNYS92F8uC - stay safe out there! 😷🤘

It's almost adorable how Greg still can't fathom the 98% on Steam. You guys have consistently improved with every game and you all do something vitally important that other companies only claim to do: you listen to the fans. I still see Greg and Amir pop up in the Hades reddit to explain certain decisions or address concerns. When we have a negative reaction to a change you consider our point of view and sometimes pull back on the change. This is almost unheard of for other companies. Additionally I respect that Greg didn't pass judgement on the burglary acknowledging that wealth disparity was likely a contributing factor; you don't have to approve of what they did but understanding is important.

As someone who has 34 hours and climbing in Hades, I know for a fact they earned every fraction of a percent. Just the sheer number of voiced interactions, all dependent on each other and anything else you do. The whole thing is consistently gorgeous, it has a customizable endgame system, and they even gave new models to the weapon aspects! They didn't have to do that, they could have just said it works like this now. It's truly incredible.

Dying and going back to House of Hades doesn't really feel like losing either because it's a chance to listen to more amazingly well written dialogue, unlock side quests and further NPC stories. This is by far the most polished game I've played alongside stuff like Dark Souls 3. Those 98 % are well deserved.

I don't know what the hell the "big names" are doing right now, but nothing seems really interesting to me (plus the soundtracks of all games I've listed except for SHENZHEN I/O have a really good soundtrack, which is also sadly pretty rare in AAA titles)

I bought Hades about 3 weeks ago. I just heard Greg Kasavins voice for the first time in years, the last time being him in Red Alert 3 Command School. Anyone who remebers that ? Took me back.

I just watched all of this fantastic series after finally buying and playing many hours of Hades. This has been a fantastic window into the team's decision-making process and challenges, and I look forward to the final episode almost as much as I look forward to the release of Hades 1.0 itself!

I'm a student, and the only money I get is the ones that my parents lend me sometimes. I really want Hades, but I can't afford the full price right now but, after seeing the footage of the break in and all the things that were stolen, I don't think I can stand the urge to buy it just for the sake of supporting Supergiant Games, they deserve the best.

I've been binging this lovely series, but this episode, it got to me. Them talking about how they don't know when they're going to be able to work together again. Over a month into 2021 and it hurts to know that these people are still working from home, that everyone is still living this. Back when the pandemic started, I had to stop a month into an internship I'd worked my ass off for. I'm so tired of living like this. Right now I'm angry and sad, but most of the time I'm just tired. Empty. My life has very little in it. I feel like other than my internship, I've less lost anything than hit pause on life. But these people had something great and they've had so much of that taken from them. Its...it's just upsetting.

I don't know if I'm the only one, but we're November 2021 right now and I feel like I wasn't ready to experience THAT again. But I don't think it's a bad thing, like I hadn't processed it completely and so that helps, I think. I hope. Anyways thanks for those docs noClip and thanks for the honesty and having taken the time to do them Supergiant. Also thanks for all your games they are the best and help a lot always.

This has made supergiant into my favorite dev's. They're are just so down to earth, which most dev just feel like they're just so indoctrinated by their PR teams. Thank you for making this.

I've loved this documentary series. I'm sad to know the next episode will be the last, but I'm also happy to have experienced all the highs and lows as the team did. It really adds to the drama. Great quality as always on this doc! I think you did a marvelous job, ESPECIALLY given the circumstances.

Thank you so much, noclip, for this documentary series. It's made me love Supergiant Games even more than I already did after playing Hades. The people who work there are so down-to-earth, it's unreal. First with how Greg shows compassion and understanding towards the people who stole from their studio - there's wasn't even the slightest bit of anger as he talked about the robbery. That seriously awed me. And then Amir was asked how their team was doing and he said something like, "We work really efficiently but I don't know how everyone is doing." That was such a real and genuine response. He didn't try to cover up the situation and say that everything is great, just honestly admitted that he doesn't know everyone's personal circumstances during a time as difficult as the pandemic. It comes as no surprise to me that the people behind a game as great as Hades are equally great themselves. I will be buying and playing all of their previous titles, along with any others they come out with in the future (hopefully many more). Thanks again to noclip and Supergiant for the wonderful insight. I've learned so much from this documentary.
