Cristo Fernandez was a start soccer player in Mexico, well on his way to playing for the national team, when a horrific knee injury sidelined him for the rest of his life... or so he thought. The life-altering injury sent Cristo down a new path, eventually taking him the the UK where he studied acting, and eventually landed himself the role of Danny Rojas on the hit Apple+ series, Ted Lasso. Now Cristo is starring in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, and shows no signs of slowing down, knee injury and all.

Hey Mike, I have been watching your videos non-stop for the past few days and I’m so proud of you. My live has been one BIG challenge because I’m adopted form China and I have ADHD and a neurological condition that affects me walking. It’s like one small cel in me brain that’s sends signals from me back to me legs and it will get worse. And people bully me fore me legs and because I’m Chinees. It became normale to me and stuff but I know it’s not. And me mom dead of long cancer last year. I love you

You are not wrong Dr. Mike. We do play very dirty. I remember playing against my uncles team when i was 17. I got the ball and i was on the ground. I looked over and the ref called a foul on my uncle for sliding from behind. I said, "come on uncle" and he looked at me angry and said, "im not your uncle here" then he looked at the ref and told him i was a crybaby. And this uncke loves me so much off the field! Lol. I love reminding him of this story and he just laughs and says, "thats why i dont olay anymore". Lol. I made it semi pro when i was 16 and then tore my meniscus on our first tournament. And soccer was over for me. I was never the same. I kept trying to get back but 4 knee surgeries later i gave up. Maybe i should have given up sooner. But yes, i too took what i learned on the field and the discipline of it and now try to apply it to my work. Although it is not as fun. 😁
