A strong case can be made that the Chinese Government willfully mislead the world about the virus, and the WHO was complicit in the spreading of bad information. The thing about unprecedented situations is that you have no prior knowledge of how to act when faced with it. Of course we MUST learn from what has happened so as to avoid the mistakes of the past, but you know that all that will happen is the results from the inquiry will be used for political gains which is why certain politicians are so eager to get it going even though we've not yet come out the other side. The failings are bigger than Covid and anything any independent enquiry can address. There are questions about what Britain is, and not so much who should lead and but how. Britain has been behind the curve at every level, and to me at least the government and its agencies have been paralyzed by indecision.
