The DCEU was the cinematic universe for DC films, starting from 2013 till 2023, before ending and being rebooted under the hands of James Gunn. And let me tell you, it wasn't great. In this video, we will be looking at 3 of the final 5 films they released, those films being Black Adam, SHAZAM: Fury of the Gods and The Flash, and seeing just how terrible these films really are

The worst thing in The Flash movie is their BS explanation that changing one point in the past changes another point in the past, just so they wouldn't have to explain why Bruce Wayne's actors kept changing, why Clark Kent never made it to Earth, and why literally none of this time-traveling makes any sense. I mean, there's a suspension of disbelief, and then there's inventing nonsensical new rules of time travel just to explain your crappy multiverse.

I just think it's hilarious that the movie is supposed to be an upbeat ending where Barry gets his dad out of prison, but by the movies own rules he left his actual dad to rot in jail and stole another Barry's dad instead

Definitely. Having a character that can't really be taken down for the story is so fucking boring I don't think the John Wick films are that great but props to Keanu for getting the shit kicked out of him in every film

It really puts the complete creative bankruptcy of the DCU on full display when comparing their last three titles. They managed to make 3 superhero movies (each with nearly the same power-sets, sans the flying), with each one possessing overdone/cliche plot lines that don't even have the deceny to be somewhat well made. Also, I'm glad to see your channel continuing to grow Loomar. It's very inspiring to see smaller content creators covering these discussions and pushing back on bigger studios thinking they can pull this shit over and over and over again.

The Flash or as I call it, the Trash, pissed me off. The Flash is one of my favorite superheroes and it seems I will never get a good modern adaptation of him( JL/ JLU Wally you are unmatched). Flashpoint was done horribly. Ezra Miller sucked as Barry( heck he was more Wally than Barry) and the movie was like NWH but worse. It’s a sad movie. And sad because the Flash has one of the best rogues gallery in comics. You could have done anything but nope; they kept going to Reverse Flash. There are other villains.

I would really like a live action flash movie that focuses on the rogues or gorilla grodd instead of just flashpoint/reverse flash Seeing how Wally West interacts with villains throughout JL/JLU is some of the best flash content because he doesn't always fight. He talks and negotiates as well (the scene with Trickster is such a compassionate scene)

Someone obviously just watched Kill Bill and instantly thought OMG SHE IS SUCH A GOOD VILLAIN without taking in consideration that not only was it Lucys acting but choreographers, trainers and of course Tarantinos writing and ability to highlight washed out actors skills e.g. Michael Madsen, John Travolta, David Carradine, Daryl Hannah etc

The first Shazam was a fun watch, but they really had no clue what to do with the character. He's more of a side/support character. He should be interacting with the wider universe or meeting the younger heroes. 2nd movie should've been about him and Superman beating Black Adam. Or perhaps an adaptation of the JLU episode called "Clash" where Shazam and Superman fought. Or both stories combined would be fun.

I feel like Birds of Prey onwards they were just throwing ideas and sequels out at random. I don't think they actually thought about Shazam except do a sequel and have him fight Black Adam (which didn't happen because of Dwayne)

Nah shazam shouldn't only be use to fight superman, I like tat they tried to explore his lore more in the movie but the second movie was just bad,the story of shazam 2 felt more like it belong to a wonder woman movie. They should have use actual shazam villain instead of creating these new villains(who would fit wonder woman better).

We could be getting the best films ever adapted from DC comics history but instead of one step at a time and earning the lore they want the entire world set up in 2 movies and even Marvel Studios didn’t do something that shallow and just blindly expected superficial edge to sell iconic characters who have better qualities in the original medium.

I actually loved the flash, it has a few issues but I think it’s extremely overhated, Gunn was right, peak film idc. But I do wanna say I 100% agree with ur takes on Shazam 2 and black Adam those films range from meh to pretty bad

I liked him in the first one Just in the second one he seems to have stuck to playing Shazam as a child as he was in the first film, when he's supposed to be a more mature teenager now It was most likely the material, but I don't doubt that maybe his influence wasn't the best either

but the only person superman outright kills is zod (after repeatedly and explicitly told he will never stop and supes and no knowledge of a way to imprison him) and using a scene of collateral damage in a fight scene is kinda misleading not defending black adam or anyone else jn this case only superman at lease he is using the appropriate force on an appropriate opponent unlike wonder woman

He takes Zod from the bare country side and brings him into Smallville town centre. Him crashing through the 7/11 most likely killed anyone inside as well He also didn't offer Zod the chance to surrender when he had the ship as leverage, choosing to destroy it instead, killing the Kryptonian race and killing anyone who was in those skyscrapers/on the street You can watch my full video on Man of Steel if you want more elaboration, but overall he's a pretty shit superhero
