BTW In Kew Gardens Hills Queens NY On a triangle bordered by MAIN STREET, vleigh place, 72 road, and 72 Drive there there is Haym Salomon Square with a big monument/plaque in his memory. I have pictures and you can also google the square. Been there for a very long time. I try to go there every Memorial Day and leave a stone.

I don't remember exactly what grade I was in, but I remember learning his name years back when my class had us do a report on a unknown American Revolutionary Figure. For how I discovered him, I don't know, but I was determined to do my report on him, especially since I felt the need to prove that Jews were here in the U.S long before the great migration of the 1800s! I become fascinated with the fact that before the 1800s it was only Sephardic Jews that lived in the U.S not Ashkenazic Jew which have dominated Jewish Life and Culture here in the U.S and completely within a matter of a few decades almost wiped out Sephardic identity here in the states! You would think that as an Ashkenazic I'd be 100% team Ashkenazic, but knowing the role Sephardic Jews played in both the Colonies and The Revolution makes me an American Jew feel the need to fight for my existence here in the U.S! Because without Jews there be no U.S therefore as an American Jew knowing these pioneers helps proved that we Jews belong here and it is because of us that this country stands, so show us some respect!

Kindle has a book called "The Jews in America" trilogy. It really opened my eyes to a lot of things regarding the Jews. They don't try to sugar coat everything. A Jew wrote the book. I didn't realize what part some of the Jews played in the Revolution either. Thanks for your input. I enjoy reading civil comments. Some people like to generalize and slander, but don't know how to show the proof. I appreciate those of you who do research and give us adequate proof. There's a lot of people on the internet who just like to stir up trouble and they have a platform to say whatever they want. But it's not hard to understand why our ancestors may have been drawn to communism with it's rhetoric of class warfare and destroying oppression.
