When you showed the cup and saucer you plan to drink your coffee from, I’m reminded of my grandpa. He used a cup and saucer, but he’d pour a little of his coffee into the saucer then pick it up and drink his coffee out of that. Anyone else ever seen someone drink from a saucer?

My Grandma always put a big tablespoon of honey in her coffee cup. She would stir it up with that little teaspoon making that little tink tink sound. Then she'd pour a little in her saucer and blow on it to cool off coffee, then sip it out of saucer. I sure miss that. So satisfying. Thank you for bringing a tear to my eyes and the sweet memory.

Hydrangeas are my favorite plant and I’ve been wanting one so bad but at $30+ each I couldn’t do it. Well the other day I was at the store and they had them marked down so much that I was able to 7 hydrangeas, 2-sage herbs, 2-basil herbs, 2-big bags of hydrangea fertilizer for all under $50. I can’t tell you how excited I was. Like a kid in a candy store.

When I married in 1970, my mother and sister pooled their Green Stamps and got me a set of Yorktowne dishes. A fellow I follow goes thrifting on camera and pokes fun at my dishes. Recently, I got a box of them when an in-law's sister died, and I just love the bold blue and white dishes. They make a beautiful table setting, and the company made cannisters, ladles, and all sorts of accessories. Collect what you love, and love what you collect. Life is short.

I did that at the produce Stand today, they were fixing to throw away basket full of bell peppers of every color and onions. I bought the whole box for a few dollars and came home and put the whole thing in the dehydrator.

I L💖VE bargains, too. You'll give those plants a little water, little fertilizer & little TLC and you'll have loads of pumpkins🎃. You'll have to do a 'Show & Tell Video' in the Autumn showing your big pumpkins, and your flourishing rosemary plants! It's brutally hot up here three states north of you, too. Tonight is a big June full moon bringing in Summer season. I stay home on days around full moons after a terrible grocery store mass killing in neighboring town on a huge full moon night. Sure enough, a mass shooting alert just came in as I was watching your video, down in your home state of Arkansas. Glad we are homebodies. Be safe Miss Lori, and everyone. 🙏

I found two willow ware plates in an antique shop that I got and was so pleased. My mom had those plates when i was a young girl and they just feel like home. Your blue plates remind me of them.Thanks for this.

I love those beautiful plates. My mother always shopped thrift stores, and our home had so many beautiful old dishes, furniture and knick knacks for us to enjoy. It gave our home a cozy feel and appreciation of hand made things. Memories!!!

But so enjoyed your latest KZbin (I enjoy them all!) explaining the free plant finds 🎉. Then I learned so much by your beautiful show and tell finds. I researched that mysterious Ryson Baking Powder. I’m in Oregon and never heard of it either….and you were right. It was manufactured up north. Sorry the picture won’t “paste” here….but I finally found an old wooden crate for sale in line advertising Ryson Baking Powder. The last line read: New York, NY. Miss Lori, you mentioned that there’s several basil plants in one pot. I recently read that the trick to keeping them alive is separate all the plants from one pot. I walked through the garden center at Walmart about 5 years ago. The associate was marking down trees!!! They were $.33 each!!! I asked her if that wasn’t a mistake??? She assured me it was legit. I called my son who was near. He came and got several which are nice sized trees today. Best bargain I ever ever found!

My mother had that exact cake carrier!! My sister has it. I love vintage and antiques. Those plates are beautiful! And I'd bet they are better quality than what you'd get today. I worked in Mondovi , WI in the late 60s. The Norwegian men {older ones} drank their coffee from the saucer, but 1st they put a sugar cube between their teeth and sipped the coffee thru it Every tray had a bowl of sugar cubes on it

I also tend to favor the blue and white dishes, but like you I'm not stuck on finding matching.... just whatever catches my eye at the time. That 4th blue patterned plate you showed is known as the "Blue Onion" pattern. Love the platters.❤ The rooster plate is cute. My mom would have loved it. She collected rooster things. 🐓

Some really wonderful "finds"!! I loved all of it but when I saw that candelabra thing, I was picturing hanging some very special Christmas ornaments on that where those little circle things are. But I don't have a big enough dining table to put something that large on. And what a blessing to be able to get that many free plants. ❤️

The Harmony House plate was carried at Sears, my Mom worked in the house wear dept. back in the 60 thru the 80’s. I have a set of china for 12 the Woodhue pattern from 1959!
