God, I wish I knew what to do with my lawn. We live 30mins north of Bendigo. So basically, I've got sheep paddocks for lawns. Just dirt through summer, and paddock weeds in spring/winter. I'm too old to do it myself and too broke to pay someone to do it. I'd need 20ton of topsoil to dress it and take out the highs and lows. I might try and do some LARGE garden areas to keep my lawn area down to a manageable size. Anyway, I enjoy your vids, the lawn looks great, mate. Well done.

Installed some Tiff Tuff today in Brisbane, had some left over slabs and bits and bobs from a turf job yesterday. Had a bare patch in the middle of our lawn that I needed to cover and thought why not. The rest of the lawn is Queensland Blue so it will be interesting to see if it holds position or gets taken over. Time will tell ! I think the Queensland Blue might take it over knowing its habits. By the way the pup is huge!! Talk about a growth spurt!

Hi Brenton, I have found that no one talks about watering regime after top dressing. What should a recovery program look like after you have covered your lawn?
@theaussielawn Жыл бұрын
Sorry mate Ive just seen your question. It shouldn't require any extra / excessive watering Provided you give your lawn an extra drink after your top dress then going back to the rule of thumb (25mm per week over 2 sessions ) in the growing season
@dennisluangamat54962 жыл бұрын
Very informative video, I’m also laying new turf T31 and following your progress with tiftuf When do you apply the granular fertilizer, before or after top dressing?
@theaussielawn2 жыл бұрын
It’s always best to apply it last that way as you work in your top dressing you won’t push the fertiliser around and cause uneven coverage

That make sense, will be doing the first mow in 2 weeks time,low mow top dressing and fertilise. Love all your vids 👍

I’m also running Tiff Tuff which I laid in November last year I’m considering oversowing with perennial rye come the end of summer so I can hold some better winter colour down here in Vic, I’m wondering what’s your view on using Oxapro as a pre emergent and it’s effects on the rye later on down the track?
@theaussielawn2 жыл бұрын
Hi mate to be honest I've never use any sort of pre emergent on the lawn prior to oversowing. i'll use a pre emergent for summer but not in winter.Any broadleaf issues Ill treat with a post emergent

Looks great, how many mls each product goes into the ezy flow before u fill to the top with water and what setting u using cheers Brenton 👍
@theaussielawn2 жыл бұрын
As the size of the unit isn’t that important vs the actual mix ratio I use equal parts expect for the stimulizer. So example the small unit holds 3.2 litres so I go 1 litre of each and approximately 200mls of stimulizer . I never add water other then the tiny bit to expel all air from the tank. I run it on the lowest setting for general maintenance setting and higher for a one off dose of something.
