How Did The Jurassic Park III Raptors Get Loose On The Mainland? - Jurassic World Theory

In the Dino tracker campaign for Dominion, a pair of Jurassic Park 3 Velociraptors were shown to have gotten out of Site B and onto the mainland. Since most of the dinosaurs broke out in Fallen Kingdom, we were under the impression the only raptor to deal with was Blue but now even the Isla Sorna animals are shown to have survived. So what can we expect from them in the future?

Humans are having trouble keeping invasive species like pythons and lionfish down in Florida. Some say saltwater crocodiles are going to be the next species that gets a foothold in the state. If the ecosystem lends itself even large dangerous animals would be hard to eradicate. Dinos getting a foothold in a remote poorly governed part of the world is ripe for storytelling.

I think the JP3 raptors are some of the coolest raptors in the whole franchise, with their interesting designs, tactical thinking, and parental behavior. If there's going to be more movies in the future, I seriously hope these raptors are featured in them in some way. Also, on a side note, last night I got to celebrate Jurassic Park's 30th anniversary by seeing the movie in 3D in an IMAX theater.

My mom let me know a few months ago that she saw an article that about a possibly upcoming live action series where JPIII raptors escaped to the mainland over a cruise that was supposed to go to Hawaii but ended up on Isla Sorna instead. I’d love to see a movie about a group of mercenaries from Biosyn (that are connected to the group capturing dinosaurs off of Isla Nublar in Fallen Kingdom) going to Isla Sorna and capturing dinosaurs from there. This would probably happen around the same time as the events of Fallen Kingdom. And Dodgson would send them to Mantah Corp Island and they were able to get the technology there to create the brain chips and it explains how they had them in Dominion. And while they were there they could also capture the Spinosaurus so it could be on mainland and used in new movies. This would also explain how Biosyn got the Buck and Doe rexs and how the JP3 velociraptors got on the mainland (I would also like if they captured a few Tiger Striped Raptors too and maybe a young pair of male and female T. Rexs that somehow get loose on mainland and start breeding.)

@@cornishchickens6778 From what I've seen around the internet (and the info could be wrong, after all anything's possible now in the Jurassic Franchise), Rexy, or Roberta, wasn't able to breed due to something I forgot what exactly. Again, this info I've heard could be completely wrong and misleading because Rexy hasn't really had any interaction with her species before for the longest time up until the end of Dominion (for example, Blue, we never really thought she would have babies until in Dominion where we have Beta, Blue's offspring), so it is possible for Rexy to have offspring eventually later in the franchise, possibly breeding with Buck or some other male tyrannosaur.

I liked the colors on these raptors, with the females being grey/white with leopard spots in their bodies as well as the males having a red crest above its eyes as well as being dark blue with a light blue stripe running down in either side of its body, having a beige underbelly, with its tail ending in a red/pink coloration.

Considering how Grant saw these feathered raptors in a nightmare before even getting to the island (along with not questioning why they have feathers), the people behind JP3 most likely just thought they could just put feathers on a Raptors to update on recent discoveries and expect viewers to go along and accept it without questioning it.

There is so much that could be done with the raptors- that little clip just opens up a SLEW of ideas that could all very much work and be an AMAZING series concept of what led up to it, and what would come of it. Blue and Beta can self replicate, so they, if left alone, will eventually be completely self contained and ok self breeding. HOWEVER- introducing a male raptor eventually down the line would make a completely separate species that would then likely not only open up new blood for the jp3- but allow that species to gain the ability to asexually reproduce as well. And I love the “here be dragons” idea. That would so SO much bring up possibilities to make horror bits such as the classic teens do something stupid or want to get something left behind thing. I think the answer to what made these Raptors so much more menacing, was because They had already established Their own Hierarchy! …Much like a pack of Wolves. Where as in the original film, there was only 3 of them. (& Offspring) didn’t actually play a factor back then. The Raptors in the 3rd movie, Knew that just taking the eggs was the sensible move. (As Doctor Grant could well have come across as an equal towards them, by blowing his vocal chamber at them). As for the mainland stuff, this is all new too me! 😂 Rexy doing the rounds during The Lost World was all I was aware of… (Not factoring in the newer movies anyways).

What if Biosyn failed to keep the JP3 raptors contained? I think that when Biosyn, like Ramsay mentioned, were taking the first generation of cloned dinosaurs off of Sorna, possibly between 2015 - 2018(?), it must've been a challenge for them to capture this raptor tribe and try to contain them as they try to transport them to the valley. The transportation for these animals probably made some stops on the mainland and, because of how dangerous and intelligent these raptors are, they want out. They may possibly trick some mercenary, which is ridiculous but Amanda fell for their traps two times, and just run off and roam into the mainland. Considering how much more difficult it will be to find them, Biosyn would eventually give up, unless some hunter manages to catch one of them and put them on the dino black market. Well, that's just how I see it. Hell, maybe they captured whats left of the tiger-striped raptors and they end up like the JP3 raptor tribe as I described it, and they're probably far more savage...and cannibalistic . Okay, I've already said this to you before, but I never was a fan of Dominion that much. I'm aware that it's suppose to setup future projects, but because it distances itself from such a potential idea and gave us a convoluted story, it didn't sit well. Like what you said, it should've been about how cloned prehistoric animals may slowly take over Earth, due to the actions of mankind, who are slowly leading to their extinction. Dominion should've just been about how genetic power is getting out of hand. We would see people wielding it for the wrong reasons, like creating monsters (hybrids), diseases (DX), and even if they wield it for good reasons, it'll end up being a complete failure (locusts). The theme should be how dinosaurs managed to find a way in life, and that now humanity must find theirs.

I'd love to see the newer material get into the raptor tribes of Site B. I'm glad to see that the JP3 Raptor is now fully considered it's own thing compared to LW Raptors. While Trespasser isn't canon anymore, it's idea of there being 3 raptor tribes that hold their own territory is super fun to think about. I'd like to imagine the JP3 Raptors were just outright avoided by the others or that they won the territorial battle of the island and thus the only ones left around.

Hope to see a movie or series about the alpha rex from trespasser the one that was orange with black stripes and was the largest and most powerful rex, and the giant raptor which was probably a Utah raptor which I hope they add to, also there is an awesome fan novel called Jurassic park: chaos novel by Joshua ballze which also has awesome art work and the alpha rex battling the jp3 spino. Also in regards to the jp3 raptors, hope they will return in a new film, Or series. Also hope they will make a tv show based on the original Jurassic park novels and being accurate to the source material with a gigantic amount of funding. Or they could do a film of it perhaps. Also hope they add the fallen kingdom allosaurus back again it had the most accurate and correct proportions and correct arm length but in the sequels it has shorter thinner arms, they could fix it by saying the one in fallen kingdom and dominion are two distinct species.

There are canon reasons why but it still seems weird. Like we know some got stolen to boisyns site. We know manticore got some for their project. We know some were shipped over to Jurassic world. I guess since they thought Jurassic world was the last place with dinosaurs, ingen thought they supposedly rounded up every prehistoric creatures on site b. Unless there was also a volcanic disaster there that was just unstated. Something else kinda odd is at the start of jp2 where Hammond says thank God for site b. This line itself implies that something happened to the animals on nublar and that they where unable to establish an ecosystem or where terminated as the deleted scene states (deleted so non canon) and matches with the books ending. But if Hammond knew animals on site b were thriving then he should have also known the animals on nublar were still alive and kicking. Perhaps nublar had a harder time establishing a prehistoric ecosystem and Hammond figured they were all going to die off. Perhaps it did have a harder time establishing such an ecosystem which would explain why ingen would go ahead and import every prehistoric lifeform they could find on the nature preserve that was site b.

I keep saying I would love a movies or tv series of some kind that takes place either during 2001 to 2005 when they are going back to the islands to get everything ready for Jurassic World openings etc. The amount of story/lore there would be amazing. Could put the Barbasol can operation in there as well. Or back right after Jp 1 with what some of the games have tried to do and have a Biosyn team try to retrieve the can and other secrets of the islands.

The whole idea of raptors or other species finding isolated pockets to live in, such as the Amazon jungle, would be actually interesting if we are forced to stay on the current lore. You can get some sick horror hunting stories out of that. In all honestly though I really wish we had classic Sorna back. My favorite time in the Jurassic Park franchise was having a whole flourishing tropical island to explore. You could have done so much more with it. Also, Dominions final message of needing to peacefully coexist is the dumbest shit ever. Do these people have any idea how destructive invasive species are to ecosystems?

Yeah , I agree they could get so much horror hunting stories out of that. Like imagine this : a group of loggers in the Amazon cut down trees but as soon as the loud noise starts. One by one start disappearing , their screams unheard. Only one remains they look around and find trails of blood. The lone surviving logger begins to run but stumbles upon a nest of raptor eggs. They began to steal some but as they were about to leave. One Velociraptor appears ( a JP3 female ) in front with a Male JP3 raptor in the back. They try to run from the side only to get cornered by two tiger striped raptors. They look at their boot to see that they stepped on a clutch of eggs in their panic of fear. Something around those lines could work. Yes , I heavily agree that Dominion's final message was dumb. Whoever , approved / wrote that should've seen what numerous invasive species have done to many ecosystems. Like the rabbits and Cane Toads in Australia or the Burmese Pythons in Florida. The Hippotamous in Colombia. The Crown of Thorns Starfish on coral reefs. Asian long horned beetles on trees. Not to mention that it goes against the message / theme of the entire franchise.

Dominion's ending is so bad that I remove the DVD after the final battle. It's quite possibly the WORST environmental message I've seen in any media. That's like saying we should ban python hunting in Florida and coexist. Didn't Alan and Ellie say dinosaurs and the modern world were incompatible in the first movie? Jurassic Park The Game tackled the subject better with a single argument.

Well, it's not inherently a bad thing to introduce new species of Dinosaurs into the franchise, it's been done before. But the problem is the Dinosaurs in Dominion had no relevance to the plot, since the entire movie is about bug's with a generic kidnapping subplot which was so lame. I definitely agree that these Dino Tracker / DPG videos on KZbin have been way better than what we got in Dominion. I really don't understand how they mess up so bad.

Where did the Monolophosaurus, Tarbosaurus, and Ouranosaurus come from? Why not use Metriacanthosaurus and Edmontosaurus since they were said to be on Nublar when Jurassic World was operational. Where did Teratophoneus and Peloroplites come from? I thought T.rex and Ankylosaurus were the only ones of their kind cloned for the park. Jumping off your point of the dinosaurs being irrelevant in Dominion, they get so little time to shine that most of them feel like carbon copies of pre-existing dinosaurs (Atrociraptor being the most blatant example). Honestly, the film could've given all the dinosaurs the same treatment as the Parasaurolophus: having Ingen and Biosyn variants.

Didn't the fan series "Extinction Level: Jurassic Park" probably explained what happened to the Site B: raptors after the main JP 3 storyline (same with anything shown in the Live Tour, if someone have access to their script)? If not, the 2019 Site B: Incident from my expanded headcanon would've touch on this topic (mostly somewhat similar to 2:42/2:43, since I thought of something like this beforehand).

Good thing they didnt do the "evolving" into the primal forms for the raptors. That won't be "evolving" but "devolving", as evolving would mean for them to become something more adapted to today's age

One idea for why the raptors from JPIII are on the mainland is when they where capturing the dino on isle sorna someone stole a pair of raptor eggs like billy did and instead on handkng them over to biosynth someone kept them until they hatch and had to release them because they became to dangerous or the raptor eat them once theh where bigger

my personal JP game/film/story would take place in costa rica and have areas rumored to harbor “dragons” or dinosaurs and would definitely start with the baby and compy scene..would be great to have a more horror vibe to a jp movie on the mainland still awe inspiring but also truly terrifying

I dont think they searched the island well enought. Like sorna is huge i dont think they searched it completly and dint find all the dinosaurs and some escaped on the main land

That's 6:41 That's realistic because in the real world people from the past in the Holy Bible speak of "Dragons in the jungles" Dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park universe would most certainly settle down in small areas claiming those areas as their territory and people putting signs of "Don't Enter" "Dragons" or something like that.

i know you said its officially been determined to be the trex, but it makes so much more sense if some had snuck on board the ship that crashed in san diego. there are so many places the crew couldve gone that the rex just couldnt fit but raptors could. i will die on this hill lol

Quick thought:what if instead ingen were not breeding velociraptors of all the same genetics? Like what if the velociraptors had genetic diversity of their patterns like macaws and chickens? like they are the same species but have different colors because a population of them were separated from the main populous causing a island effect like we see with tortoises or moniter lizards? For example the moniter lizards in Australia separated from asian millions of years ago and gained genetic diversity grow bigger than their asian counter parts? or how the finches on the Galapagos islands grew different shapes and sizes was Darwin noted? Just a thought which might explain inconsistencies
