“What worth is the throne if I lose my sister to win it?” That’s when I began to truly like Koana as a character. He values family, even adopted, and that’s important to me. The others took longer.

I recommend take the role quest after MSQ because it doesnt really relate to the MSQ and it scales until Lv100 too, and also i hope to see a reaction video of it! Really like your videos!

Role quests are not required for MSQ and can be done anytime. The stories are great worldbuilding and fun characters that you'll very likely want to binge all at once.

This part of the story made me emotional. I have a sister who I've always been protective of. Even as a young kid, her being in danger would make me panic.

5:55 Trauma-bonding with Baja Tia! 8:10 I was impressed by how emotive even the non-humanoid faces are in DT - even if they may look a tad silly sometimes. 13:23 as stated by others, Role Quests have no connection to MSQ this time around - but they're still worth doing to unlock dyes for the AF Armors! (Just like in Endwalker) I personally enjoyed doing them between stints of MSQ; a nice change of pace while still adding to the worldbuilding of Tural. 20:39 After some horrible parents lately (looking at you, Athena!) it's so nice to have a great dad for a change. Recognizing the flaws in each of his potential inheritors while setting up a chance for them to grow. 37:10 Ah, plot-induced idiocy - a FFXIV classic. At least it led to some quality time with Koana! 41:42 Turns out our new favorite catboi has a temper! And a heart of gold underneath the over-analytical attitude. Who wrote me into the MSQ without telling me?! 48:15 "Two heads are better than one", hm? Don't let Bakool Ja Ja hear you say that. So many great character moments in this one! Watching you is always such a treat, Terra - I hope you keep having fun in DT.

Koana is such a sweetie, and you comparing him to the Head of Reason (and Wuk Lamat to the Head of Resolve) is so spot on. Those two compliment each other so well that to see either one lose their bid for the throne would be sad. As for the role quests, you don't need them to finish MSQ. So far I've done 3 of them and there's nothing that ties them so heavily to the main story that they would feel out of place after. If anything doing them after MSQ would give them room to exist as their own fun romps and not kill the pacing of the main story, so I suggest binging them later! (I'm sosososo glad you're enjoying the story! There's been so much (understandable) frustration and (unwarranted) negativity from the fandom that it's refreshing to see someone appreciate the heart of the story, even over minor holes in the writing. ... someone really should have seen that trap coming 😅

Role quests aren't required and they have a rather disconnected story from the MSQ so, IMO you can take them on all at once, whenever you feel like it! EDIT - all done watching - another VERY FUN video Terra! Thank you for sharing your journey!

Terra.......TERRA!!!!!!!!!!! Arrgghghhhhhhhhhhh. You did it again! The thing that you always tend to do! YOU F***DID IT AGAIN!!! And no I will not tell you what it is that you did! *shakes head* Simply unbelievable... But yeah, Wuk Lamat and Koana are really adorable siblings. Koana is a good one. The way he is ready to literally commit murder for her...what an amazing brother. This expansion is really a lot about family.

I loved Koana even more when he said what worth is the throne if it means losing his sister. I loved that green haired catboi even more after that. I fell in love his looks the first time I saw him with urianger and thancred but after this scene I was Iike not another catboi that has my heart after graha lol

I'm a week late but I think the role quests for this expansion can be done whenever and doesn't feel off putting doing them after MSQ like how ShB and EW feel out of time doing them afterwards. In my opinion they don't enhance how you see MSQ as much but they make you learn of tribes in Tural.

Koana went for the headshot without warning, then followed it with a shot at Bakool Ja Ja's chest - he was not there to PLAY. Lucky for Bakool Ja Ja that guns don't work in FF the way they do irl.

The fact that the WoL lets Wuk Lamat get abducted within 30 minutes of Golool Ja Ja asking them to protect her made mes extremely angy.

personally, with role quests, if the re-coloured glam's worth it, i'd do it. with DT, i was just gonna take it easy; semi-role play with the MSQ and hang my WoL hat and just be the adventurer they asked me to be, and take it easy, i.e. put on a non-serious glam (summer tropical island vacation dad look, fyi). so i was gonna put them last on the list, maybe after the Raid. did all of that for 80% of the MSQ, when I then HAD TO put my WoL hat back on because a) bitch needed to be slapped EXTRA hard and, b) a Beacon was needed to Light The Way. so i had to look good. I do feel you may want to dress up, if you choose to let your Adventurer dip their toes back as the WoL. but you can save it for later when/before you hit the lvl.99 zone

The Role Quests are fun, but they are much less connected to the events of the MSQ than Shadowbringers and Endwalker. Go ahead and wait to do them when you like. Either as a break if you need one at some point, or wait and do them all at once later. Do keep in mind that you won't be able to dye your artifact gear until you complete them though. Glam is always the ultimate motivator.
