The king isn’t leather anymore? What is the weight difference? The ultra men is 170g and ultra women is 220g if I remember correctly.

​@@Daveyoycorrect, the king is now a material called K-Better, weight wise they're around 200g, not too far off from each other, I'll weigh them in a full review, didn't want to do it here because they're different sizes.

I noticed this too! I have a launching version which impressed me so I bought a light blue one and noticed significant difference between two uppers. I ended up returning, but thought it might be the color issue, but seems like a facelift version sucks.

For sure, Nike as well have a tendency to do it. This seems like quite a big difference to me compared to the switches you usually see.

The slimmer toe box would prolly be a bit painful for me so width wise i will still go for the men's one out of these and in terms of touch i actually like a bit of that dampening sensation as long as the upper is not too overly thick and clumsy feeling. Thankfully i dont have to go for either of these 2 cuz i have other options from other brands. 😂

I picked up the Art of Football edition colourway yesterday and the upper is absolutely horrendous compared to the early versions. They've totally screwed the upper for sure. 😔

Hii James, the white version and the texturing gives me lazertouch vibes. Not sure if it's just me. I don't mind having a more substantial upper but you are right that doesn't make any sense. What about the tooling? Are they the same? Or is it a Luna/Phantom GX situation?

Correct, and there isn't much difference in the width either. Just make sure you're buying in men's sizes not women's. Some sites have them listed in women's sizes which are different to men's.

Unfortunately I can't tell you, I haven't even held the special edition so I don't know which upper it is likely to feel like.

Josh from SR4U said that the upper feels Teijin"ish", does it proceed? Also, there have been a few more releases of that boot. Do you think they're tweaking along the way, till they find the proper upper?

Tejin ish is a fair comment especially on the white ones I have there, I wouldn't say that about the black ones. There's tonnes of releases, I'd almost have to have them all in release order to work out what is actually happening. Most companies make small adjustments here and there between colourways, ninja updates as my friends and I call them, small updates they don't ever talk about. That was probably the plan here but the update is insanely massive.

They're very narrow so be careful with fit in general.

I like the little bit extra padding in football boots and thinking of getting them, and did you say buy half a size up you think is best? And did you know if they suitable for wider feet? The phenomenal pack ones are blue I think if I remember correctly. But they will be absolutely the same style as the black ones. For me half size up yes. And I wouldn't reccoemnd for wide feet.

I would say try and look on sale and see if you can get something at academy price but a pro level boot. For example the tiempo legend 10 pro as mentioned above or the phantom GX pro are great options. Also try looking at something like a lotto solista 200, they're very affordable and fantastic boots.

Ok, but I'm looking for a boot at the academy level. I've worn the phantom GT academy AG but the sole got separated in two months. I'm a bit worried that if I buy Nike boots this can happen again. Do you recomend them?

@@diniscamara6078 why are you specifically looking for an academy level boot? If you're able to get a boot for the same price but is likely to be better (I.e. a pro level boot) then it makes sense to do that. Look on sale or even for past season elite level boots. If you've got academy level money then sales are your friend. And as I say lotto solista 200 is a very good shout for a top end boot at a bargain price. Same goes for some New Balance boots on sale. As for durability I generally don't comment unless it's very obvious because durability is very dependant on your foot type, your gait, how often you play, how you play, what surfaces you play on. There's no boots I generally say have bad durability and it will depend on you.
