I think in the long run, Brent's greaatest 'little' contribution to the hobby will be convincing Army Painter to add actual colour descriptions instead of just the name to their new paints.

Serendipitous that I got into mini painting when Brent got into video making. I got a nice, easy Goobertown on-ramp into relaxing, fun painting times.

Loved this video! I really enjoy just listening to experts in their fields chat about said fields and what they enjoy. Hoping you consider keeping these types of videos as part of your current rotation! Also agree completely on how chats are different/enriched by being in person. I know that limits who you can reasonably have on the channel, but I really appreciate the extra depth you get with this format. Keep up the great work!!

Such an enjoyable conversation to listen too. Caused me to reflect on my journey as a gamer and what caused the ebs and flows. I started miniature gaming with Epic 40k and Rogue Teader 40k. Back then I thrived in the creativity that was encouraged and even allowed. GW showing a grav tank in an official publication made out of a deodorant stick is a universe away now. After decades of discontinued games, blown up worlds, and the constant press by GW for profit over fun I moved onto Indy games where that space for creativity exits.

Absolutely love the podcast, but I do have a small comment I would like to make. It's more present in this video. The guest is quite a calm speaker and eloquent with their story, but on a second watch it jars really badly with the hosts volume and intensity. It would have been nice to just let the guest ramble a bit as, sometimes, the host ended up doing more of the talking and dominates the conversation. The content and what was spoken was fantastic and I'm glad you're making this content, but the execution of this specific video fell flat for me.

I somehow stumbled here but you ruin this interview by overtaking constantly and not giving the other person any space and continually over talking. Listen more - it gets uncomfortable to listen to.

I'm kinda into tabletop wargaming as well but question for the more experienced among you: Why is it always referred to as "hobby"... yes of course I get that it's a hobby, but it mostly seems that the words Tabletop/Wargaming and Hobby are just interchangeable when you're part of the bubble, as if there were no other possible hobbies on earth anymore... why is this? It irritates me every single time, and especially in this case when you are a full time KZbinr so it's your job, it doesn't make sense to still call it a hobby... you get what I mean guys? x-D
