When one is absent another is born to take their place. When Luna was banished it seems pony’s associated to the night became more common placed. It’s just a theory however.

Considering discord can make a volcano appear out of nowhere in a millisecond or warp reality just as fast can’t be compared to any other villain. He is a god. I highly doubt any villain could do such things. He could even have more power but thanks to the age range of the show be was dumbed down. Even bill cipher can’t do a quarter of what Discord can do. Discord is unmatched by 99.99% of all villains.

discord definitely did not get created by starswirl because in comics it is confirmed that he has been around since at minimum the dinosaur era, which would have been millions of years before starswirl was born. He also most likely wasn't created by grogar for the same reason, because if I'm not mistaken grogar was born around the time equestria was created which was only a couple thousand years prior to the show. The main theory that myself and you kinda talked about is that discord was created whenever the action of chaos was first portrayed, as discord always states that he is the embodyment of chaos, and he even begins to fade when he isn't chaotic so it would make more sense. It also still works with the harmony thing u were talking, but just millions if not billions of years earlier, whenever the concepts were introduced. Thats only if you take comics into account tho. Just based on the show urs makes sense

I totally agree with the yin and yang theory. It's also what fueled my ship of Dislestia because I felt the only true way to get balance was for chaos and harmony to come together. And so those two got together and by being that connected with their magic it would create the tree of balance. I imagine the tree of balance to be two trees intertwined together the tree of chaos if you will looking like the chaos symbol. For those who don't know what that is, that's arrows going in every direction in a circle. This in turn would make both individuals more powerful and better able to protect the realm. Just my own little head canon :)

I believe that Discord, if he is the lord of chaos, he is chaos himself, then he is essentially chaos. He has always existed. In addition, Grogar is the father of monsters, he is like the creator of villains. But Discord is above all this, he is not just some kind of monster, he is almost a God who can do whatever he wants. most likely, it has always existed and will always exist. Even if he is killed, I think that he will return because there will be no world without chaos, maybe even stronger than he is. Just like you said, the spirit of harmony and the spirit of chaos. You forgot abt discord getting turned to stone. When the planting of the tree of harmony happened, the elements of harmony had also been born. Discord was probably from a civilization with strange creatures like him. He couldve left to start a new life elsewhere and on his journey encountered a creature that put chaos magic into discord. That means by the time he got to equestria, the tree of harmony had fully grown, and somthing used the elements of harmony to turn him to stone through the timeline, it was the tree itself. When the uh uh uh forest thing was taking over it attacke the tree of harmony... But 𝓦𝓗𝓨? the tree of harmony isn't a "tree" at all. It is a living creature whom took the form of a tree to save equestria.. but from what? The creature could see into the future, that's why. But how? It's simple. If was a pony. Actually... the StarSwirl theory makes sense (that he CREATED Discord, not "turned" into him). What if Discord was accidentally created by StarSwirl, and because of his gruesome appearance, StarSwirl abandoned him in the world? Just like Victor Frankenstein did to the Creature. We could see Discord aging in G5, so maybe he was born a baby creature, unable to control his powers, therefore unable to defend himself or control his chaos magic. This is how he took so long to appear, because he was growning up and learning about his own existence and powers. It makes sense to me. It also makes sense why he would turn into a villain after being abandoned, just like Frankenstein's Creature. Himself said he never had a friend before Fluttershy.

Discord is the opposite of the tree of the harmony so when the tree kf harmony became this all grown tree from the seed planted by the pillar, discord was created as the partner and opposite of the tree. Here's my head-canon: Discord became evil and took over Equestria because he was mistreated due to his looks and powers ever since he was a child. Since he lost his parents, he had to live off of his own tainted beliefs on ponies and harmony.

The basic story of what happened goes as follows (yes, you'll have to read a bit but this is a condensed version of the mountains of text they gave): A 15-year-old fan (a name I've seen is Ash) was a big fan of Sawtooth and made art and videos for him. He eventually saw them and thanked her for the art. They became friends, talking about MLP theories. He has done this with many fans and even featured some in collabs on his episodes. Eventually she confesses that she has a crush on Sawtooth (whom had just turned 19), making him feel awkward about their relationship and initially denying her feelings back. Some weeks later, the conversation came back again he came back with a "maybe if you were older" type comment which gave her hope in that they could be a couple when she was older but for now would just be friends. Over the next year or so, they would become much closer, talking more openly about things like mental health, family situations, et cetera. They were essentially online bf and gf but didn't do too much apart from roleplay and virtual hugs and kisses. Typical teenager stuff. Then her mother comes in, and she is quite abusive to Ash and threatens Sawtooth to stop talking to her. This is when both parties realised how serious this relationship could be. They didn't want to give up being friends but were willing to put themselves at distance. They would go weeks or even months without talking because of her mother's rules, but they did occasionally mail to each other (as they had done prior while sending fanart to each other). During these separations, she became even more obsessive than she was to the point that she started ignoring her studies and failing in school. On the few times they did reconvene, Sawtooth warned her to not ignore school but she ignored his warnings. By about 2019, they were barely in any contact. Her mother placed a final strict separation between them, though Ash would still text Sawtooth, even though he refused to text back because of her mother's boundaries. A point that was brought up earlier was that when she turns 18, she can make her own decisions and wouldn't have to listen to her mother anymore. When she did turn 18, Sawtooth would start returning her texts and they would officially become a couple. At this point, they began exploring a mild sexual relationship (no one was forced or pressured to do anything), but this wouldn't last too long. The relationship was immediately toxic and ended barely 6 months (I believe) after it started. Sawtooth was the one to break it off. They apparently had a momentary FWB deal but there really is no detail as to how all of that went but they were both adults at this time so it generally isn't our business but it was clear their relationship had grown sour. Then by 2022, Ash told Sawtooth that she was gonna expose him for their relationship and Sawtooth knew that if she did, he would never be trusted again because he knows how the internet is gonna take stuff like this. She got him to beg that she not come forward because it would mean the end of his channel. He would eventually accept this and stopped making videos for a while. By February, both made posts around the same time detailing their sides and Sawtooth privated his channel. She blames him for being 19 and fraternising with a 15 year-old at the time and for being the reason she did bad in school and can't go to college. I'm not even framing it, that is literally what her trauma was; that she did bad and school and blames it on him. It's obvious to me at least that this was a masterclass of a nothing burger that honestly has nothing to do with us so there was no reason they should have actively destroyed his career, but we all know how the internet is. No one can make a mistake without being caught and cancelled for it, no matter how many years have passed or how small the mistake was.

Discord somehow trusted three villains to not turn on him with a bell with world destroying potential and did nothing when they claim that they didn’t find it. If you had a friend who put you and everyone else’s lives in danger all for the sake of an unnecessary test, would you ever want to be friends with them again?

Also he is a creature of chaos; a god, he doesn't understand morality the same way we do, considering he has only now learnt what is like to be mortal... If you read the comics it gets easier to understand his character... All the characters treat him like crap and the oy one that cares for him is Fluttershy; and if they dislike him enough they might as well turn him back to stone... He is not evil, he is just following his nature, and at the same time giving into his insecurities because for the first time in his life he learned what is love and what is "normal"; he just wants to be loved. I recommend reading the comics, even if they might not be canon... He needs destruction to be alive, but at the same time he is trying to be a good person; in fact when he becomes good/normal, he is even more destructive and evil than the actual discord, which proves that his nature, TRUE nature is being evil.

When twilight took the "lasting" power of those creatures it took the magic that made them one out of more animals. They didn't had any superpowers. We see that when the main 6 thought that the chicken that turned ponys into stone it couldn't then. But discord had his magic when he teamed up with trec and when trec took the magic of discord he didnt turn into seperate pieces because he had the power that made him what he is.

Me for myself question the harmony theorie bc I can't see harmony as the opposite of chaos. Harmony (as I understand its meaning) describes the balance between all existing opposits - heat and cold, light and darkness, good and evil, chaos and order. Following said theorie bout the tree/ghost of harmony it could've been that Discord came to life the same time as the spirit of harmony did - not as it's counterpart but as the counterpart of a third ghost of order, with harmony as their balance (just don't know who that could be..). My prefered theorie would mean that discord as the chaos itself came to exist together with order as the universe has been created - or even before. To answer the question, where discord wuz before he took over Equestria back then: well.. as simply as it sounds but.. he wuz at college with the smooze 😜

Honestly, I kind of agree with this, since yin and yang is literally just the definition of one thing cannot exist without its equal and opposite. Like you can't have creation without destruction, you can't have life without death. That sort of thing. They're always must be something to balance the other out. Seriously I can go on and on with examples of you. Can't have blank without blank, but in the end this theory is probably the most accurate. You can't have a Harmony without its equal and opposite in chaos
