Mary Grott Im glad this found you when you needed it! It’s something that takes a lot of reminders and reinforcements, it doesn’t come naturally. Of course we’re going to struggle and fight that struggle when the downs come. Hopefully changing our perspective and working on some of these things can offer some relief though.

This is literally what I’ve been going through the past few weeks. I’m starting to realize all that I’m grateful for though which is helping.

Emma Rubino Gratitude definitely can help, and gratitude without pressure to feel better or putting and “I should be” kind of things in yourself. Just taking more time to find the small good in our days. Realizing the pattern we are stuck in also is so helpful. It’s the first step in changing it 💙

Why is it so hard to believe that you will get better ive been struggling with depression this time for a year.and i just dont think im ever gonna get better.

robin stanley Depression is really good at convincing us that it won’t get better. It convinces is that we’re beyond help and can’t feel better. The other problem is that it’s so convincing that we often then act as if there’s no hope, so we don’t seek help etc Which only makes it more likely that our struggles will be deeper and harder to manage.
