Amen! According to 1 John 5:14 if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. Not “maybe hears,” but “He hears.” Father, help us pray! In Jesus mighty name, amen.

Does salvation require baptism with water?

Yes, salvation requires obedience. We have to obey the word of God. since Jesus has died, he has commanded us to repent and be baptized. We have to be born of water and of the spirit. this birth is referring to full immersion baptism in Jesus name and receiving the holy spirit as evidenced in Acts. Again, Jesus told his disciples to wait in Jerusalem to receive the holy spirit. Read Acts 1-2 and the rest of Acts. Jesus had his disciples preach repentance, baptism, and receiving of the holy spirit! * Mar 16:15-16 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." *John 3:3 "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." *Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." @@Benjamin-un1wl

@@Benjamin-un1wl No it does not. You are saved as soon as you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Being baptized is important, but it is a public proclamation of faith where you (figuratively) go into the water as the old you and you come out as the new you. But a relationship with Jesus is what gives you salvation

God is SOOO amazing and GOOD!!! Yesterday, today and tomorrow I am fasting for my husband’s Salvation to arise and stop the divorce judgement from going through the middle of this month. I have been Standing for my marriage for 8 years and am doing so because of what I learned from Scripture through Pastor Piper’s Divorce and Remarriage document in 2015, stating all the Scripture on what God says to us born again Christians who do not have hard hearts. I am fasting and Praying for a miracle and here noticed in my KZbin feed that this APJ just came through. God ALWAYS brings us encouragement and right on time. I say this through tears of Joy, mixed with suffering. Thank you DG, thank you JP, thank you Lord. A few more things to consider in this parable include that: Unlike the unjust judge who delayed out of malice and with indecisiveness, the Father delays to grant our requests in prayer with a loving disposition and because either he is not going to give us precisely what we asked for but something more beneficial for us or he has a better timing than immediately to manifest our requests in our lives. Either way, although we often must wait and come to God repeatedly about the same things, we don't have to come in fear or weariness as if we are begging God to decide on something he hasn't yet planned nor to change his mind in our favor as if he were initially indifferent or against us. God has already decided how he is going to bless all of us and he knows our needs before we ask him anything and has promised time and again to supply them all because of our union with Jesus by grace through repentance and faith. The widow begged wearily and with uncertainty about what the judge would do, whereas saints ought to pray with earnest enthusiasm knowing that God certainly will supply our needs. This is very helpful to remember when pondering why it is that God delays so long to give us what we think that we need when we pray but yet he claims to care so much about us and even that he will respond eagerly and 'swiftly.' He certainly does, but it's just that His thoughts are nothing like our thoughts, and his ways are far beyond anything we could imagine. - Isaiah 55:8 Also, when Jesus says, "But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith," I don't think that we ought to assume that Jesus doesn't know the answer to his question nor that he is suggesting that when he returns there will be only a few of his people persisting in prayer. Instead, I think that this question is a tool of his to provoke his people to pray persistently so this won't be true of them just like all of the warning passages throughout the New Testament about what happens to people who appear to have faith but don't persevere are not meant to suggest that it is possible to lose salvation but rather to urge those who do have faith to persevere in obedient fruit-bearing when they begin to get discouraged while also warning those who merely think that their faith is genuine to repent and trust in Jesus for real lest he return and they be found to have been frauds the whole time. When Jesus returns it will be at the climax of worldwide devastating judgments upon the earth and the most vehement persecution of the saints that there has ever been, so if we are living through that and not praying earnestly for our needs, very particularly the return of the Lord Jesus to deliver us and judge our enemies, then we ought to be very concerned that we may not truly be on the Lord's side, because as a suffering saint in physical, emotional, and economic distress, what else would you be doing?

Does salvation require baptism with water?
@phieble
@phieble Жыл бұрын
@@Benjamin-un1wl no. Salvation is by God's grace through our repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus and his finished work of atonement for sin by his death on the cross and his resurrection. Water baptism is a subsequent act of public profession to the church and the world of our faith in Jesus. Romans 3:21-28 21) But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. 22) We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. 23) For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24) Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. 25) For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, 26) for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus. 27) Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith. 28) So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.

@@phieble Acts 2:38: “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Acts 2:38 proves that salvation requires baptism with water. Galatians 3:26-27: “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” Galatians 3:26-27 proves that faith in Jesus involves baptism with water.
@phieble
@phieble Жыл бұрын
@@Benjamin-un1wl The baptism in Acts 2:38 is not a requirement of salvation. The way that the word "for" is being used in the verse is not to be interpreted as "in order to," but instead as "because of." So Peter is commanding "and be baptized because of the remission of your sin," NOT "in order for your sins to be remitted." The baptism in Galatians 3:26-27 is not a water baptism but a spiritual baptism into Christ which is what the Holy Spirit does when we place our faith in Jesus. If water baptism were a requirement for salvation then it would be commanded in the Old Testament, Jesus would have commanded it of his early followers during his earthly ministry whenever he spoke of salvation, and the apostles would be adamant to say that water baptism AND repentance and faith are required for salvation in all of their epistles but they didn't. Instead they said time and again that salvation is applied to us by God's grace through faith in Jesus and not because of any work that we have done, thus we can't boast about it.

I believe John Piper is right that this parable uses an argument from the lesser to the greater: If even the unjust judge who didn't care about the widow eventually gave her what she asked for, how much more will God, who does care for his children, give them what they ask him for. Understood in this way, there is no difficulty in the parable. As far as God's willingness to answer requests is concerned, he is not being LIKENED to an unjust judge but CONTRASTED with an unjust judge.

@@Benjamin-un1wl Salvation does not require baptism since : Ephesians 2:8-10 KJV For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. If that was the case then the criminal that died beside Jesus would need to be baptized in order to be saved, and we both know that he had only faith. Baptism is a symbolic act that means you identify with what Christ has done in the cross, but that alone cannot save you, only faith in the work of Jesus Christ can save us.

@@Benjamin-un1wl If you are a new convert I'd expect this from you, but if you've been in the faith for some time now you will need to move on in being conformed to the image of Christ. Come to fuller, and fuller maturity in Him Baptism is one of those things that accompany salvation, it comes with the territory. If one is saved, he'll not refuse to be baptised, but will gladly show to all by doing the *submersion* , that he's now dead to sin, and alive; living in obedience to Christ This is a parable showing that he's been baptised into the person, character, reputation; name of Yahusha (Jesus). This is the spiritual baptism, which saves through the teaching of the Gospel, and the doctrines of Christ. It's not about repeating a formula of words before being dunked into water, but showing that the person has actually been *submerged* into the Spirit of Christ; His death, burial, and resurrection *(Romans 6v4)* Scriptures: *¹ Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, ² Of THE DOCTRINE OF BAPTISMS, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment* *Hebrews 6* *¹⁸ For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: ¹⁹ By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; ²⁰ Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by (negotiating) water. ²¹ The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:* *1 Peter 3*

@@Benjamin-un1wl In the beginning on the 1st heaven, people that lived particularly good were to be washed in this pure water on the North side of the Garden of Eden. Water so pure to the taste, that even if you were dark and black when you washed in it, you would turn light. The water was suppose to be for the ones that lived right, and how it was for repentess of peoples soul. And when washed in it they were cleansed of there so called sins for salvation, immortalitty. I will comment exactly, how it was to be, but am close. This is how it was to be, before Adam and Eva became disobedient, and rebellious, didn't follow command, and ate the forbidden fruit in the midst of the garden, off Gods Holy FigTree, which was a fig, not apple. In those days figs were big like watermelons. Then they covered them selves with fig leaves. Two angels helped them make clothes out of the fig leaves. So for that purpose of the water North of the garden, and what it was there for. And scriptures written about baptism. You body seems to have touch some type of water for cleansing. But its written they have yet to touch the garment of Jesus to be cleansed. With this your body does not need to touch water, for baptism. But its also written one has to be qualified for baptism. In the Bible God promises that he will answer the prayers of Christians, when they ask for something that is in line with his will (e.g., 1 John 5:14-15) and when they ask with faith (e.g., Mark 11:24). God promises that he will do this for Christians. Importantly, however, the Bible never says that God won't answer the prayers of people who aren't Christians. God has the right to answer the prayer of anyone including Muslims. So if God answers the prayer of a Muslim, it isn't a coincidence. It is a real answer to prayer. But he doesn't answer because of a promise to answer as he has promised to Christians. Instead, he just sovereignly chooses to answer that prayer of a Muslim. The number of times God answers the prayers of Muslims is surely much smaller than the number of times he answers the prayers of Christians. But it surely does happen sometimes.

@@maxaplin4204 John 9:31, Gen 21:14-19, Mat 21:22, John 14:13, John 15:7 It’s safe to say, God does what HE WILLS. A non-believer praying to another god for a miracle may witness by their coincidence that what occurred was the One True God’s Will. Hagar was heard, she was an Egyptian slave, but God had destiny’s for her son. Islam did not exist then, so she was calling on the God of Abraham. Piper has a sermon about this, but I forgot the title. The is only One Way to salvation and as a Christian, it’s profoundly important not to misguide a non-believer that praying to any other god will get the same outcome. ✝️
